It will help you with completing your video. By writing down the challenges you faced and how you overcame these you will have some hooks to use when creating your personal "making of" which is task #3.

Pop music, mashup or remix because they are usually not as slow. This is going to make it easier to find moves that go with the beat. Malena: One of my strengths is finding music and matching dance moves so that they fit the beat. A challenge for me would be editing the video at the end and putting the whole video together. Another challenge is remembering the movements. 
Matt: One of my strengths is that I have a fairly good taste in music and one of the challenges is that I am not that enthusiastic about dancing and don't show that many emotions.  
Ema: My strength is that I have good taste in music and my challenge is doing the movements in general. 
Roman: My strength is that i am able to memorise the dance moves.
