Showing a presentation gives me general knowledge of the history of the types of stop motion that was given to us. To improve our skills in animation we were given a task in a studio to make our own claymation animation. This has helped me because i want to know as much as possible to use in our indents when we get to that. This helped me improve me organisation and developing stage in production. and has given me more of an idea of how to make a creative animation. using the different frames per second. and how it will make a good floating effect if i used 2. When we were moving the parachute and man we were having trouble with keeping it all together. The parachute kept breaking from the armature structure. Next time we will take more time on making sure its more stable. I planned to explore claymation and pixelation in creative ways, and i feel i have achieved that with the three animation that i did make. I feel really confident in the animation, I'm really enjoying it and find it really interesting. I hope to learn more about the different types of animation and will experiment more with them. 

Throughout this week i have carried out research for the target audience and Stop motion animation. i have created a questionnaire asking the public how they feel about the whole subject, and when they feel unsafe and safe. and finally what we can do to help children feel more safe. I also completed a mind map where i researched what the different target audience should be asked and what they do. Including the charities that focus on keeping children safe, Funders which include the National Lottery and also the general public. I found out my group and we planned what we will be doing for the next few weeks. 

For me, the most effective thing we did this week was animation testing. This was because it was the first time we tried out our final idea using different types of animation, including claymation and whiteboard animation. We tried to animate a character falling through the sky and also getting caught by someones hand. I felt that this story was very effective with the story we are trying to put across about feeling safe. Next time we need to test the animation but make it bit more detailed in the background and also the characters expressions. 

Before the animation testing we spent some time coming up and discussing different ideas that we had. This was really effective as we brought all of our ideas together to try and make one good idea that we all agree on. We were fair and listened to what others had to say. We came up with 3 initial ideas that we all liked but put them all together, i like our final idea and i am really looking forward to make it. 

The only setback i have had this week is that i lost my photoshop document for our logo. I didn't take enough time to check that i saved it ropily as i was in a rush. I really regret doing what i did but i have started the logo again. It has wasted time with other work that needs to be complete. After this i completed our ident final storyboard, including drawings of the set and information of the different props and movements that is going to happen in that shot. While i was doing this the other two members in the group created cut out props for our background, which consisted of Trees, Clouds and a sun.  Today we have created another test animation of our ident idea, so we can learn from our mistakes. We used Cut-Out, Clay and Pixilation for our animation. I felt it went really well and there is a small amount of things we need to improve on. We just need to be more certain of what number frames we are going to use at different times. 

For me, the most important thing that happened this week was our animation testing. There was a lot of things we learnt and had influenced us again to try new things as some things did not look right and needs to be changed. But the was our only issue for the week that was to do with our work. But on Tuesday we were brought back a bit due to someone being absent, but all the work was brought up to date and we are now where we want to be with our production. 

From this week i have learnt that practising animation really does help with the ident. I have learnt not to just do things once try new things with different sort of stop motion animation. The reason we are doing this for a presentation because we want to see if the client likes it and also wants anything to change with our animation. For my project proposal i started a plan identify what i am going to include on each section of the proposal. The proposal will be given to the client to see what i have done during the project that has made this final idea. I think Its better when i plan my work as it makes me organised and give me more of an understanding and structure on what i should include in what place. I don't want to have points that are in the wrong place and makes no sense. 

On wednesday i started making my presentation for the client. this includes our general idea and concept, the experiments i have done, the creative features we used to attract the target audience and finally the resources we have and are going to use will making the animation. I still need to make notes for myself while i present, which i will do throughout the weekend. 

Today i have bona back to working on the group pre-production work. I completed a location picture document and also a shot list. I feel that i am organised with the group work and we are on track to film. We also completed some animation testing trying to perfect the impact from the character to the hand. What we learnt is that we need to exaggerate this a bit more because it is hardly noticeable. 

Overall i think i have been up to date with all the work i was supposed to do. But i did get distracted at some points, this i need to work on and i will complete extra work throughout the weekend.

I felt i could've been more successful in completing these targets today. I was easily distracted all day and feel i could've got more done than i actually did. I completed my presentation slides but have not completed all of my notes. This will be a task for me at home as i need to get this done as quick as possible for the groups benefit on organising the presentation. Tomorrow i will be practicing my notes and making sure that it is under 4 minutes. I want to do this because i need to look professional when presenting our idea to the clients. We are also set back by Rhianna being absent. Being able to do this proves that we are well organised as a group and understand what each other has done though out the production stage of this unit.  Tomorrow i will be focusing on putting the slides that me and Ellie has done together, unfortunately Rhianna hasn't and will not be in all week so it has been difficult to include and put all the presentation together. This gives us less time to review the work Rhianna has done to make sure we understand what she will say, so we don't repeat any points. But we will be doing some animation testings tomorrow. Having music in our ident will hopefully attract the audience more, and will make it easier for them to remember it. Having a memorable tune in an advert will give the ident more of a identity and will give the audiences good memories which they will remember for a long time. From researching different adverts will support my point as its a day to day thing that people always say, "Do you remember that advert..." thats only because of the music. It will give the advert more emotion throughout. I made two different pieces of music which are both sad and happy. This will give us more options onto what music we want to use or maybe use both of them at different times of the advert.

Later on today we went to the animation studio to practice our animation. Unfortunately we did not have our cut-out background available to us, as Rhianna has been absent all week. This limited us to only try and make the hand catch of our advert which we have tried already. This still helped us make some more changes with the impact of the character hitting the hand.

We wanted to keep organised and have a good understanding of what each others saying during the presentation so we don't repeat things. The reason we pitch to the client is because we wanted feedback for what we need to change, and to make sure they understand what our thought. Process is during the production of this ident. We feel that we did very well with giving the client the information they wanted and answered all there questions professionally. 

From this experience I felt I have improved my presenting skills and my confidence speaking in front of people. Knowing the Protective Behaviours is a real business makes it better, as I have presented to people who are professional and already work in the media business.

I felt that this was achieved. We have also included our own music that I made. The music is both happy and sad which goes well with different bits in the ident. I am happy that the development of our ident is going to plan.

Today we also was able to get an actor to do our narration and voice effects in our ident. We have organised for this to happen tomorrow in a quiet room. We used Final Cut Pro to edit our ident to add in sounds, narration and music. As Rhianna had some experience in editing, we gave here the job to take control of that. While Ellie and I was giving different suggestions to see what looked better.

On Tuesday, We tried to save our work onto my memory stick. But tried to open it again and it wouldn't. This meant that we had to start again. This set us back a day, but as we knew how we edited the ident. It was easy to make again. On Wednesday, While Rhianna and I was making the ident again. Ellie made the narration with help from her friend who does Drama at Harlow College. Getting another person to do the narration is helpful, as we don't want it to sound unprofessional in anyway. 

This week i was also set a task to make my own questions for the audience feedback that we will be trying to get next week. This includes open and closed questions about the ident, on what is good and what needs to be improved. I think its really important that we gather feedback from the target audiences because we want to make our ident suitable and understandable for the audience. Asking these questions will give us a clear view on what they think, and hat we can improve upon in the future.
