It also has a strong female protagonist, which was rather new for the time the film was released (1979) which shows that the director was willing to take risks with the film. The film's director also took some risks, as the film is very original, and does not copy any other films. The film has also clearly inspired many other film makers, as films such as "the thing" were created following the films success.

I feel that when I'm watching one of his films, such as kill bill, pulp fiction or reservoir dogs, I never get bored or feel dissatisfied with the way the film concludes. I feel that Quentin Tarantino also stands out as a great director for me, as I find all of his work to be interesting, both old and new. Seeing as his career has been going on for over a decade, I find it rather interesting how he is still able to entertain his audience, and continue to make great movies.

The is also known for improvising one of the most famous lines in cinema history "you talking to me?" in the film, taxi driver. This shows Deniro is able to contribute to the films he works in without any guidance from other people.
