Zero is a shy boy who gets teased by the others in camp. However, he proves to Stanley that he is not stupid and just doesn't like to answer their questions. He is obviously not stupid but is really good at math. I think that Stanley is very kind and helpful. when Zero was sick in the dessert. He carried him all the way up to Big Thumb and found(dug out) water and onions for him even though he was also very ill. When Zero escaped out of camp green lake , he knew that he might die if he went out but still ran away to find him. Stanley always think about his family before himself. He was scared of death not because of himself but because he didn't want his family ton be sad.
