What Makes a "Good" or "Bad" piece of artwork by AMANDA CRADDICK

I want everyone to upload their favorite and least favorite famous artwork in any medium or style you choose. You may Google search the most famous paintings, if you don’t have any in mind. You will then write a paragraph as I did about why you like and dislike these artworks. Feel free to roast the artworks, because I want to hear everyone's honest opinion. As always, keep it appropriate!

I hate to say it, but I don't understand the hype of the Mona Lisa, or Da Vinci's art in general. I think he painted this beautifully, but in my opinion, a portrait painting only has so much meaning behind it. If I had no idea of what this was or the value the world places on it, I wouldn't stop to look at it in a museum. Hot take? Someone argue for its "goodness", and I might change my mind!

Kerry James Marshall might not represent my style of painting, but boy do I admire his work. This painting in particular is amazing to me because of how much information there is to explore in it. There are many references to other famous paintings (like the distorted Barbie head in the middle is a reference to an old painting called The Ambassadors). And his paintings carry so much meaning behind them about race and culture. I love it all! Don't like it? Tell me why!
