The claim that a manager and a leader are different is misleading to a great degree if the skills of each of them do not compliment to each other. It must be considered that every company has an organizational structure and on top of it there are high executives like the CEO, CFO, CMO, among others, also known as managers. Part of their duties is to be efficient and achieve goals by using the less amount of resources they can; however, they deal with human beings with emotions and people that need motivation and be part of the assignment. To achieve the goals, a plan with a strategy is required, but also ways to inspire the team, and it's here where the skills and roles of both managers and leaders compliment, and it is essential that every high executive possesses both skills. This will help to the accomplishment of organizational goals and in the long term will influence in the success of a business.

The claim that a manager and a leader are different is misleading to a great degree. Both managers and leaders have a set of skills that are required to accomplish the aims, goals, mission, and vision of a company. To be effective and efficient and even to keep the stakeholders happy, both roles must be complimentary. So, if a person is labelled as manager or stakeholder, many tasks and responsibilities would he delegated, which means the company wastes time and money, every person must have both attitudes and skills to make the business successful.

Mathias Zambrano.

In order to clarify this it is necessary to know that not every manager is a leader, a leader is one who can guide, attract, influence a group of people to use them in their favor or a community favor either for good or for bad. A manager can simply give each one his position and the goal to achieve. Yet they have things in common such as organization. The organization needs leadership and management in order to be concise, having these two very different concepts can cause a bad organization of personnel by not taking into account all the necessary fundamentals. This terminology is useful in companies or businesses to be able to recognize the differences between management and leadership in order to make the best decisions on which to apply or whether to apply both in order not to make mistakes when dealing with people.

It may be a bit of a misnomer to say that a leader and a manager are completely different roles, as the two roles have similar characteristics. A leader is seen as someone who encourages people to meet their goals, is someone who inspires other people and also encourages teamwork. However, a manager can also be a leader, but focuses more on following the rules, getting everything done on time and organizing work and tasks. Now, this terminology is kind of more practical because it highlights the different skills each has, but it might make things a little easier. Sometimes, people may think that you can be one or the other, but in reality, truly successful people are a fusion of the two.

What can I say, both managers and leaders are important and a company needs both, however, this would be costly for a company. I think companies must make strategic alliances or partnerships with universities so in the syllabus and during internships, the future professionals can develop the skills a manager and a leader have so then they can be efficient in the workplace and accomplish the mission and vision of the business. Do you think there's any other way?

Knowing the difference between a manager and a leader can sometimes create an artificial divide, as the two roles often overlap in practice. Managers are typically responsible for organizing, planning, and ensuring processes are carried out effectively, while leaders focus on inspiring and guiding their teams toward a shared vision. However, a successful manager often needs to lead to keep their team motivated, just as an effective leader must manage resources and tasks to bring their vision to life. While this distinction can help highlight different skill sets, oversimplifying it risks creating a false separation. Ultimately, the most valuable professionals are those who can seamlessly blend the strengths of both roles.

(Gustavo Garcia)

The terminologies, although very similar, are not the same, because a manager is normally only in charge of the efficiency part in work areas and organizes, administers and directs employees or assistants, but a leader is a person who, due to their strength and precision when taking actions, people follow them and form something more consolidated called a team. Being a leader has several aspects and factors that can affect the performance of the company, but for this type of situations, there is a way of leading for each specific occasion.

Profesionals combine both habilities, making the term be helpful when is used in a flexible way, but deceptive if it is applied in a strict way. (Leonardo Izurieta)

Managers get assigned as the organizational, controlling taskmasters who make sure things get done. Leaders are seen as visionaries inspiring and always motivating their team or group.
