Positives:

Datacamp is very helpful.
Topics covered were very helpful such as APIs, object oriented programming etc...
Good examples of previous projects to give ideas for our own projects
Lecturers are engaged & helpful

Negative:

Using Github with the pull requests was somewhat confusing & needed a slightly more detailed explanation for how it worked

Data Camp is extremely helpful.

Using Github to submit the labs has been a bit confusing. A review of the github process would be very helpful as well.

The course is well-structured and very important to urban studies. It would have been better if we could quickly cover the lab exercise all together during lab time. That way, I think, it will create interaction with each other.

Gap between lectures and labs

I appreciate the diverse range of topics covered each week, as they offer enough depth to learn and practice Python basics effectively. Datacamp was a really helpful resource too. However, at times, I felt a bit lost due to a disconnect between the lecture slides and the lab exercises. It would be helpful if more guidance or support were provided for the labs to bridge this gap.

Felt for some of the labs, especially lab 3, that there was a missing level in difficulty from the material covered in lectures and data camp to the exercise. Though the challenge is rewarding when it works.

Course Materials and Structure
The tutorial materials are informative, but they sometimes feel a bit scattered, making it challenging to follow a clear learning path. A more structured approach—perhaps with a clearer progression of topics or additional explanations on key concepts—would improve the learning experience.
Lecture Environment
The lectures are currently conducted in a tutorial classroom, where the small projection screen makes it difficult to see the content clearly from certain positions. A larger lecture hall or a better-equipped classroom might enhance the learning experience by improving visibility.

Overall, I appreciate the course and look forward to the remaining sessions. Thank you for your time and dedication!

I think it's a bit fast-paced for python learning. A week or two of scheduled python progress might be comparable to a month or two of an undergraduate course in mainland China.

Online courses and practice on Datacamp are useful.

And what be covered on this class is also useful both for study and work.

But the use of GitBash sometimes confused me that some process become more complex like create a new file.

And i think more practice on Python may make us more clear on this course.

The course was very helpful, but it felt like some of the parts were going fast and maybe the connections needed to be strengthened

Datacamp is very helpful.

I think the room is not suitable for lectures because of it's quite big while the screen is relatively small. I can hardly see the content on the screen.

Prof talks too fast, and also operates too fast. the screen keeps scrolling up and down. Plus, the screen is too small, so it's really hard to keep up. Even though the Prof suggested us to follow him to operate, there's limited time to do that.
