The grant covers up to 75% of the total costs of the purchase and installation of EV charge points (inclusive of VAT), capped at a maximum of:

• £350 per socket

• 40 sockets across all sites per applicant – for instance, if you would like to install them in 40 sites, you will have 1 socket available per site

Round 2 is open to applicants who are able to demonstrate and evidence a track record of delivering advice services or supporting access to advice services, this could be through involvement in a health justice partnership, having an established referral pathway to advice services or co-location of services with advice agencies.

The Trust makes up to £1,000 available for small grants each month. Applications are invited from people with aphasia, carers or groups living in the UK. No application is considered too small and the Trust hopes to be able to give as many grants each month as possible. Each person or group can apply up to a maximum of £1,000 per year.

Applications are still open for the final rounds of grants for projects which will complete by the end of 2025. 

The Foundation awards funding in three main areas:

Currently, the Trust is giving priority to local charities providing hospice care. And to support this priority, the Trust has increased the amount of its core funding for hospice care.

• Typical grant sizes now range from £20,000 to £40,000 (an increase from the previous range of £10,000 to £20,000). 

The grants can be used for a range of purposes and could include:

• Grants for core funding to include staff costs.

• Ongoing running costs for specific projects

The type, size and time period of the award is decided on the basis of the perceived ‘difference’ that the Trust’s support will make to the organisation, to the project and to the targeted beneficiaries.

Applications will be considered from UK registered charities based in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Please note the Trust is currently closed to capital funding applications, and it does not accept applications from CICs or charities working overseas.

Applications are reviewed on a rolling monthly basis subject to the trustees availability. The deadline for submissions is the last working day of each month. If successful, an award is made around six weeks after the submission deadline.

The Trust seeks to support young people, with an emphasis on education and health, refugees to the UK, and the promotion of the Arts.  

Today, the Marks Family Charitable Trust supports some 10-20 charitable organisations per year and continues to be family run. The Trust can be approached by organisations, or charities seeking donations for specific projects, or endeavours.

The maximum grant charities can apply for is £10,000.

Applications from smaller charities are prioritised and we use the established definition for this which is a charity with an annual income of less than £1 million, based on the latest figure presented on the Charity Commission or OSCR website.

Applications should deliver on (at least) one of three objectives to be considered for support, these are:

1. Tackling poverty and social deprivation;  2. Enhancing community spaces, facilities and services;

3. Improving health and wellbeing.

For grants of between £10,000 and £75,000, there are four different funding themes:

• Rebuilding Biodiversity

• Community Buildings

• Recreation

• Cultural Facilities

Each theme has its own eligibility criteria.

Submissions of Expression of Interest for the Main Grants Scheme are on a rolling basis. The Board meets four times a year to decide which projects to fund. Your application will go to the next available meeting so there are no restrictions on when you can apply. However this does mean that it may take up to six months until you hear whether you have been successful.

The Trust will favour applications that have national and international  relevance and will not consider applications from overseas charities and causes, and medical research.

Applications to the trust are reviewed quarterly. Quarterly cut offs are 30 March, 30 June, 30 September and 31 December each year.

The Britford Bridge Trust is a charity supporting the prevention or relief of poverty; the advancement of education; the advancement of health or the saving of lives; and the advancement of the arts, culture, heritage, or science. Applicants must have national or international reach with regional consideration being given to projects Dorset and Cambridge areas only.

For UK based projects, Educational Opportunity Foundation will only consider applications that are specifically targeted towards care experienced young people. Projects must be interventions designed to improve their educational outcomes and life chances. 

Improve educational outcomes

Including the support of care experienced young people to attend and engage in mainstream school life, improving access to out of school support and improving education professionals understanding of their needs.

Improve life chances

Including improving the support for care experienced young people (aged 16-24) to access further education, employment or training opportunities and improving support for them to remain engaged with these opportunities.

Who can apply:

• UK registered charities with an income normally between £25,000 and £2.5 million.

• Charities must be financially sound and registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales, Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator or the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland.

• Charities must have at least three years of continuous accounts submitted to the relevant UK Charity Commission or Regulator.

• Organisations should be directly involved in the provision of the project activities. They do not fund organisations whose primary purpose is fundraising.

Applications are considered on a quarterly basis.

Application for funding is normally considered for capital and revenue costs and for both specific projects and for general running/core costs. Grants are awarded for amounts from £250 and depend on a number of factors including the purpose, the total funding requirement and the potential sources of other funds including, in some cases, match funding. 

The Fund operates two general grant funding streams, a General Grant Programme for appeals of £9,000 and above and a Small Grant Programme for appeals below £9,000.

Deadlines for submitting an appeal for funding of £9,000 & above:-

• 1 December

• 1 March

• 1 August

The closing dates for the deadline for small grants applications do not apply.

One way they do this is with the GivingLottery, where good causes can sign up for free and start raising funds from the sale of their very first ticket. In general if a good cause has 27 players supporting them, they will raise £1,000 in unrestricted funds each year and our top cause is raising £9,000 per year from the GivingLottery.

This funding is ringfenced for bi led organisations doing work specifically with bi communities. To be eligible, the primary purpose of your organisation or group must be to support bi communities.

The funding can be used for the general running of the group. You can apply for specific items, but there is no requirement for this

It awards grants to charities supporting young people, aged 16 years and under, across the UK.

Grants are targeted to further the potential and opportunity of children and young people who are surviving abuse, at risk of or experiencing homelessness, caring for a loved one, and challenged by addiction (either personally or through a member of their family).

All programmes look to support young people experiencing challenges related to these funding priorities. They will always look to promote happiness and a feeling of safety amongst the children the charities look after – reminding them that they are cared for and not alone.

The foundation trustees meet four times a year to review grant applications the foundation has received and to make grant awards.

Who should apply?

• Applicants must be from a registered charity across England

• Applicants must have a turnover of under £1.5m

• Applicants must have delivered services pre 2020

• Applicants must not be volunteer led

• Applicants must not have more than 30% free reserves (in comparison to income)

• Grants are available up to £2,500 for each award

• Grants are offered on a one-off basis

The Fund aims to maintain and strengthen projects that are working within deprived communities and supporting vulnerable people.

Some examples of funded projects include, but are not limited to:

• Community projects or therapeutic services addressing physical or mental health needs

• Support for vulnerable young families

• Activity groups for adults or children with physical and/or learning disabilities

• Youth groups in rurally isolated or deprived areas

• Projects addressing loneliness in older people, including those with dementia and their carers

• Delivering Emergency First Aid training in rural communities

Applications are considered on a rolling basis, and the Fund will close when fully allocated. 

Whether you are a charity in need of funds to support your operations, fundraising for a specific project, or an individual with an idea to help your community, The Farthing Trust wants to hear from you.

They fund smaller programmes of work concerned with the conservation of decorative or non-structural features inside the building. This might include, for example:

• stained glass windows

• sculpture

• furniture

• internal monuments and tombs

• wall paintings

The object must have been made no later than 1896 (the year of William Morris’s death), even if it is in a building which is older. Turret clocks and organs are not grant aided.  However applications for a clock or an organ case that makes a significant contribution to the interior of a church, and/or is of specific antiquarian interest, may exceptionally be considered.

Grants are between £500 and £5,000.

You can apply at any time but the deadlines for the two rounds each year are:

• 31 March (applicants notified by 31 May)

• 31 August (applicants notified by 30 November)

What other conditions are there?

• A professional architect or established conservator must be engaged to direct the work.

• The work must be completed within one year of receipt of the grant.

• Completion of the work must be certified by an appropriate professional.

The objectives of JSAWT are to donate to UK registered charities whose purposes encompass one or more of the following:

• to benefit or protect animals

• to relieve animals from suffering

• to conserve wild life

• to encourage the understanding of animals

There are three application deadlines each year, open to charities registered in the UK.

The deadlines for receipt of applications are: 

10th January (for Spring meeting) 

1st May (for Summer meeting) 

1st September (for Winter meeting)

They only fund organisations whose activities take place within the UK.

The trust has decided to prioritise its funding in favour of charities whose activities involve all or most family members where possible, in initiatives that support and encourage the family to work as a cohesive unit in tackling problems that face one or more of its members. The objective is to reinforce the benefit and support that family members as a unit can give to each other.

The three areas of activity that the charity wishes to support are:

There are a multitude of AI tools available to charities, all with different capabilities and features. Some may be embedded into technology we already use, such as Microsoft’s AI assistant Copilot, which works with other Microsoft products such as its search engine Bing. There’s also a wide variety of AI resources available within Microsoft Cloud Technology, such as Azure, Microsoft Purview, Power BI, and Microsoft 365, among others. These tools can help charities achieve more with data and prepare it for the introduction of AI.   

Indeed, with such a wide variety of tools and new ones emerging every day, getting ready for AI is a challenge charities are facing imminently. AI relies on accurate and steadfast data to help charities achieve the best outcomes – without it, the solutions offered by AI can be irrelevant or even damaging to the trust, reputation, and the overall effectiveness of the charity using it.

Westhill value projects built on solid foundations, knowledge of your community or audience, clear objectives, and a viable and carefully budgeted action plan.

Small charities or individuals
The Trustees are generally disinclined to make grants to large charities that are more likely to command the sympathy and support of large grant-making bodies.

​A clear idea of what the money will spent on
Unfortunately, the Foundation is not able to send cheques to individuals, without evidence of what it will be spent on.  For example, we are very happy to receive applications from individuals or charities looking to purchase specific equipment, such as wheelchairs, travel cards, laptops etc.  However, we are rarely able to help when individuals are looking for a certain amount of money to ease cost of living.

All applications must be made by a registered referrer such as a social worker, teacher, GP, nurse, housing or tenancy support worker.

Who they can help?

• Children and young people up to and including the age of 17 who are experiencing a crisis or emergency and live in the UK.

• They can only accept one application per household within a 12 month period.

They can deliver or fund critical items such as:

• Cookers

• Furniture

• Kitchen equipment and small appliances

• Children’s beds and bedding (including cots)

• Washing machines and tumble dryers

• Fridges, freezers and fridge-freezers

• Baby equipment

• Clothing for an emergency/crisis
  

These schemes aim to reduce hate crime happening at places of worship so that people can feel safe to attend worship and practise their religion freely.

Through these schemes, vulnerable places of worship can apply for physical protective security measures, such as CCTV, secure fencing, and intruder alarms.

Criteria

• Your organisation must be registered with the Charity Commission in England, Wales or Northern Ireland or a registered Scottish Charity.

• They are able to help only small charities with an annual turnover of less than £500,000.

• They can only accept applications towards the funding of capital projects. They are unable to accept applications towards running/core costs. Note: they are also unable to consider requests for computers and IT equipment.

• They provide small grants of up to £5,000. They do not consider multi-year requests.

• There should be a minimum period of two years between the receipt of a decision or grant and making a further application.

The quarterly deadlines for applications for funding each year are: 5pm on 15th March/15th June/15th September/15th December.

Applications for funding can be considered from any source, UK or overseas. Applicants need not necessarily be a charity: they can be a CIC or social group.

Trustees meet quarterly to consider applications: in January (deadline 15 December),  April (deadline 15 March), July (deadline 15 June) and October (deadline 15 September)

Sea-Changers gives one-off grants (i.e. not continual funding) to UK-based charities and other organisations (including schools) carrying out marine conservation related activities.

The projects funded will achieve one or more of the following objectives:

• To address the root causes of marine conservation threats and challenges in the UK.

• To prevent or reduce negative impacts on UK coastal and marine environments and/or species.

• To add to the body of knowledge about marine conservation threats and challenges in the UK. ​

Main Grants 

• For grants between £500 and  £2,500.

• Two grant rounds per year.

• Deadlines for applications are 31st March and 30th September each year.
  

 Small Grants 

• For grants of up to £500.

• Apply any time and get a quick decision.

For medically related charities, hospitals, hospices and medical clinics:
The Hospital Saturday Fund will consider giving grants towards medical capital projects, medical care or research and in support of medical training. The Hospital Saturday Fund will also consider grants for running costs.

The Hospital Saturday Fund has two grant categories:

- Standard grants of up to £2,000

- Large grants to up to £10,000

The Grant Making Committee (GMC) meets quarterly.

This funding should be used to pilot your idea to address local need and move your group towards being eligible for funding opportunities with NCF and other funders.

To be eligible for this fund, the minimum requirement is that your group consists of at least 3 unconnected people with a shared community vision.

To apply for this fund, you won’t need to have a constitution, community bank account, Safeguarding policy or Equal Opportunities policy. It may be that your group does not fit NCF's usual eligibility criteria. However, this fund will support you in moving toward this.

Grants of up to £500 are available from a £20,000 pot.

Examples of funded activity may include:

• Training (e.g. safeguarding, food hygiene and safety) and insurance (public liability).

• Governance support from a trusted organisation (not freelance or private) that can help your groups development.

• Costs towards your pilot project: volunteer expenses, venue hire, promotional materials etc.

  
  

This is a rolling fund opportunity, and proposals will be considered on a first come, first served basis. The fund will close when the funding pot is fully spent.

The aim of the Foundation is to improve quality of life and Trustees consider applications which make a difference to people over the age of 65. The Foundation supports registered charities which promote a proactive approach to physical and mental wellbeing. Trustees make donations to charitable causes at their discretion, within carefully considered criteria laid down by the Founder.

Grants are given to UK-based charities that can demonstrate how they are making peoples’ lives better. If your charity has a mixed age group of beneficiaries, the Foundation will consider an application if at least 80% are over the age of 65. We are unable to support individuals, groups of people under the age of 65 or overseas projects.

For the October meeting, apply between September 1–September 10.

For the January meeting, apply between December 1–December 10.

Applications are invited from charities, social enterprises and community groups in Norfolk and Waveney, Leicestershire, Essex, Oxfordshire, Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire with grants ranging in scale from £500 to £5,000.

Applications must demonstrate clear social value and support health and well-being of local populations.  Funding should not be used for maintenance or on-going costs after 12 months and applications should show evidence of how they will meet previously unmet needs. 

Applications are reviewed every three months by a group of trustees made up of CDS employees.

Donations will be made to any charitable organisation, regardless of the distribution of its work or beneficiaries, registered with one of the following bodies:

• The Charity Commission for England and Wales

• The Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR)

• The Charity Commission for Northern Ireland

In the UK this involves supporting young people with a bias towards young people, who are suffering from depression and mental health issues or who are confronting drug abuse issues.

Typically grants will be up to £10,000 and at most will be for 50% of the total budgeted cost of the proposed project/program.

Using the power of the crowd, we’re helping environmental, sustainability and net zero projects to get the funding they need to turn their ideas into a reality.

Projects that match the eligibility criteria will be eligible for 50% funding, up to the maximum value of £10,000.

The types of projects we would expect to see could include but not exhaustive to:

• Converting or restoring community greenspace to wildlife habitat

• Environmental improvements to a community centre or village hall grounds

• Coastal and marine projects

• Local wildlife training and monitoring schemes

• Reduction of invasive species, litter, noise or light pollution in the environment

• Initiatives to help local people to connect with their environment

• Activities which encourage people to grow nature and increase the public understanding and enjoyment of wildlife and heritage

• Nature – works to improve habitats or conserve species, as well as helping people to connect to nature in their daily lives

• Designed landscapes – improving and conserving historic landscapes such as public parks, historic gardens and botanical gardens

• Improving landscapes for people and nature by, for example, restoring habitats and celebrating the cultural traditions of the land

• Replacing community infrastructure structure fossil fuel reliance – for example air or ground source heat pump upgrades to oil heating systems

• Solar systems to reduce running costs of community assets

• Innovative carbon reduction aspects of new build community buildings like cobbauge, strawbuild or insulation techniques

• EV infrastructure at community centres and village halls

Eligible organisations

• A registered charity

• A CIC/Social enterprise

• An organisation on the FCA Mutuals register

• Constituted Community group or volunteer organisation

The following organisations are not eligible:

• Individuals

• Sole traders

• For profit businesses

• Organisations set up as trusts (including charitable trusts)

Applications can be made by voluntary organisations on behalf of a young person/s.

• The purpose of this grant is to ensure children and young people experiencing financial insecurity continue to enjoy and participate in out of school clubs and groups.

• This grant scheme will operate as a rolling fund programme until all funds have been allocated.

• There is a total of £20,000 available in the fund. Groups can apply for a maximum of £1,000 with a guide of approximately £100 maximum per young person.

• Both the group and the young people must be based in Norfolk.

• Groups in deprived areas and/or groups supporting households who are experiencing financial difficulties may apply.

This is a rolling grant. Applications are considered on a rolling basis, and the Fund will close when fully allocated.

What they fund:

• Regular weekly or monthly events and activities such as weekly cinema club, weekly knit and natter or Thursday lunch club

• One off activities such as a day trip or a Christmas lunch

• Activities such as yoga or a guest speaker for your group such as a local historian

Applications received in January will be processed and awarded in February

Applications received in April will be processed and awarded in May

Applications received in July will be processed and awarded in August

Applications received in October will be processed and awarded in November.

There are two application closing dates each year to the Community Fund.

All applications must be located within the Fund zone.

The Fund will support projects that meet at least one of the following themes:

• Community buildings and facilities. For example: capital improvement works to village halls, community centres, museums, heritage centres and community cafes. Projects that help transition to lower carbon operations, are particularly encouraged.

• Community activities and services. For example: projects addressing health and wellbeing, social isolation, community cohesion, access to amenities, young and old people’s projects and projects providing support for local clubs and groups.

• Environmental, green initiatives and public open space projects. For example: projects involving habitat/species conservation, community growing schemes and public parks.

• Sports, recreation and play. For example: playgrounds, skate parks, climbing walls, sports equipment and sports field drainage projects.

• Charity runs and sports challenges

• Festivals and concerts

• Online and gaming events

• Peer-to-peer fundraisers (e.g., in-memoriam, birthdays)

Who Can Apply:

• Individuals: Vision-impaired people aged 25 and under, residing in the UK, who need financial assistance.

• Organizations: UK-registered charities whose work directly benefits vision-impaired children and young people.

Funding is available for initiatives that align with their goals, including:

• Advocacy or support for vision assessment and certification.

• Devices and equipment for daily living.

• Curriculum development for vision-impaired students.

• Access to local services and specialist teaching.

• Assistive technology and equipment.

• Support for completing education or training.

• Activities promoting well-being, such as drama, music, and sport.

• Training for educators and support workers of vision-impaired youth.

Application for a TPFF grant is a one stage process and the Grants Committee meets monthly to assess applications. Please note that grant applications of £15,000 and above are assessed on a quarterly basis.

We are open to applications which focus on charities ‘preferred areas of impact’ and have set grant round meeting dates and ‘windows of application’ for each of the charities, which are listed below.

In addition to applications for direct work with beneficiaries, under certain circumstances we will also consider applications to support the running costs of organisations where these are not available by way of Government or other support and where these are essential to continue the provision of services to beneficiaries.

They are looking for well-established projects that are operating at a reasonable scale or have clear plans to scale up. These projects should be suitable for a full impact evaluation.

This grant round is an open call for proposals and has no fixed closing date.

The Vicar’s Relief Fund (VRF) helps people at risk of, or currently experiencing homelessness through providing crisis grants to prevent eviction or help access accommodation. As a frontline worker, you can apply for a grant on behalf of individuals you are supporting.

They do not accept applications from members of the public or volunteers, only from paid frontline workers.

They consider funding:

£350 maximum to prevent eviction e.g. for rent arrears, service charge arrears, debt relief orders, bankruptcy fees or money to pay for a hoarding clean-up.

£500 maximum to help access accommodation e.g. for rent deposits, rent in advance, ID fees or temporary accommodation costs.

Registering and applying for a grant

Before you can submit a grant application, you need to register on their Flexi-Grant Portal. Click on the link above for more details and to apply. The fund is open Monday to Friday 9am to 12 noon.

The Village and Service Centre Grants Scheme offers capital grants to parish councils and qualifying community organisations:

Project examples are-

• Capital grants for provision of net zero infrastructure for rural communities and to support rural tourism activity, for example: EV charging points; community energy schemes such as scaled up biomass, heat pumps or solar.

• Funding for resilience infrastructure and nature-based solutions that protect local community areas from natural hazards including flooding.

• Establish or enhance rural green and blue infrastructure including community gardens; green spaces; watercourses and embankments; greening of streets and paths; incorporating natural features into wider public spaces.

• Develop, restore or refurbish local natural, cultural and heritage assets and sites.

• Local art galleries, museums and libraries for altering premises or providing spaces for exhibitions to support displays for artists to showcase work.

• Creation of new footpaths and cycle paths, particularly in areas of health need.

• Enable setting up or enhancement of rural community-led repair cafes or mend workshops. This includes provision of premises, tools or equipment.

• To enable people to develop volunteering and social action projects locally.

• For provision of gigabit capable digital infrastructure at rural hubs for community use, for example: village halls, pubs and post offices

• Public realm improvement (benches /defibrillators)

• Village Hall improvements (disabled access)

• Play equipment inclusive of all abilities

• To support the Social Economy through growth and innovation

  
  

Applications will be reviewed on a rolling/ongoing basis and the evaluation process will require applicants to demonstrate how they meet the criteria.

This is for charities and social enterprises based in and delivering impact in England, who are looking to improve their energy resilience. This could be for many different reasons, for example reduced carbon emissions, energy cost savings, upgrading energy efficiency ratings to meet future regulations, increased use or comfort of buildings, replacing older vehicles and equipment with modern energy efficient versions. 

Type: Mixed Grant & Loan

Value: £25k - £250k (40% grant)

Loan Repayment Term: 1 – 10 years (inclusive of any capital repayment holiday). 

The funds can be used for the purposes of: 

• Installing energy saving measures or generation technology to buildings/ land (including new builds), and/ or 

• Purchasing energy efficient or environmentally friendly vehicles or equipment.

To qualify you must be based in England and not be an organisation eligible for the Dept of Education scheme.

The fund will support distribution of 2000 AEDs across England.

The funding for the scheme is based on a first come, first served basis. Eligible organisation’s applications will be only be confirmed once they have completed their match funding and provided this payment to the AED providers, London Hearts.

Last year (2023/24) the National Lottery Community Fund awarded over half a billion pounds of life changing funding to communities across the UK, supporting over 13,700 projects to turn their great ideas into reality.

Social investment is the use of repayable finance (i.e. not grants or donations) to deliver positive social impact as well as return on financial investment. The UK government, in its 2024 budget unveiled by the chancellor Rachel Reeves, has committed to create a new social impact investment vehicle to “mobilise private investment to deliver positive social impacts”.

“The government is announcing that work will begin to develop a social impact investment vehicle, led by the chief secretary to the treasury, working with DCMS [Department for Culture, Media and Sport], to support the government to deliver its missions. This will bring together socially motivated investors, the voluntary sector and government to tackle complex social problems.”

Charities and social enterprises can use social investment funding to help them increase their impact, for example by:

· developing new or existing activities that generate income

· providing cashflow funding to help deliver contracts where payment will follow later

·  buying assets

 VCFSE organisations and local authorities are increasingly using social investment to scale up pilot projects, to develop innovative solutions to social issues and to provide capital for purchases that enable better service delivery.

· Social Impact Bonds

One of the most common forms of social investment is the use of Social Impact Bonds (SIBs)

SIBs are generally developed by partnership consensus between a commissioner (a local or UK government authority), the social investor and a delivery partner, with an ambition to improve the outcomes of services by making funding based on achieving results. Social investors provide upfront capital to the project, If the agreed and expected outcomes are delivered the commissioner repays the social investor on a per outcome basis.

· Crowdfunding:

Another common form of social investment is crowdfunding.

Projects that match the eligibility criteria will be eligible for 50% funding, up to the maximum value of £10,000.

The Allen Lane Foundation funds small registered charities, voluntary groups, and charitable organisations.

The aims are to fund work within each of our funding programmes which:

• will make a lasting difference to people’s lives rather than simply alleviating the symptoms or current problems;

• is aimed at reducing isolation, stigma and discrimination, and;

• encourages or enables groups that experience marginalisation and/or discrimination to share in the life of the whole community.

Over a typical year, they make around 130-150 grants, to a total value of between £720,000 and £800,000.

The total amount they can offer is up to £15,000.  This can be over three years, two years, or a single grant. However, most grants are for much less than this amount, with the average grant size being £5,000-£6,000.

They aim to help organisations to become sustainable, supporting running and core costs to enable them to have flexibility, security and longevity. They can contribute to project costs or salaries.

Programmes they fund:

• Asylum seekers & refugees

• Gypsy, Roma & Traveller Communities

• People with mental health issues

• Offenders & ex-offenders

• Older People

• People affected by violence or abuse

The minimum grant that can be requested is £20,000 and the maximum grant amount varies depending on the size of the fund available. The scheme can only fund projects lasting up to two years, can fund up to 100 per cent of the project cost and can cover revenue and capital measures.

The Energy Redress Scheme is only open to registered organisations in England, Scotland and Wales, and Housing Associations that are exempted charities.

Main fund and Small fund: projects must be led by a Charity. Other organisations may be involved, but the charity must submit the application and be responsible for the funding and project delivery

Carbon Emissions Reduction Fund (CERF) and the Innovation fund: projects can be led by a charity, Community Interest Company, Co-operative Society or Community Benefit Society.

The amount of funding available through the scheme varies throughout the year and will be reviewed on a quarterly basis in January, April, July and October.

The Arts Project Fund prioritises support to projects and activities that demonstrate significant community impact and benefit, and which most closely fulfil the Norfolk County Council Strategic Priorities and Arts Policy objectives.

Areas of support can include:

• Projects which are of strategic importance to arts development in Norfolk. • Projects which demonstrate the potential to attract significant external investment to support the development of the arts in Norfolk.

What level of funding is available?

You can apply for a grant of up to £10,000 and most grants will be around £6,000.

Grant recipients will be required to sign an agreement which commits them to reporting the outputs and outcomes of any funding.

We aim to open our community grants programme at regular intervals throughout the year and we will review submissions on a regular basis.

As a guideline, their average donation is £1,500, with donations typically ranging from £500 - £5,000.  Additionally, they don't donate to the same charity more than once in a calendar year.

A £2,000 grant could purchase 40 backpacks and their contents with a total value of £50, but alternatively an application can also include volunteer related costs, storage costs, or other expenses associated with the project. Applications can be made at any time until the funding runs out.

We provide grants of up to £3,000 to support physical activity projects for people with Parkinson's all over the UK.

Later in 2025, we will also be providing specific grants to support physical activity projects for people with Parkinson's from marginalised communities and underrepresented groups.

The ACEs Main Grants Programme provides multi-year grants of up to four years of £20,000-£25,000 per annum, to charities and CIOs throughout the UK.

Last year we received 498 expressions of interest, 50 organisations were invited to make full applications, and 17 grants were allocated.

The principle aim of this funding is to focus on supporting families that need help the most, in a way which adheres to their principles of transparency, trust and transformation.

The aim of these small community grants is to support projects, activities and organisations that will be of real direct benefit to families and have a direct and tangible social impact on people’s lives.

Community grants of up to and including £400 are available.

Warburtons has a ‘limited amount of money for grant funding and will not be able to support all applications’.

This year, the fund is evolving to have an even greater impact, with a new structure designed to support a broader range of brands and initiatives. The 2025 Sky Zero Footprint Fund will now feature three distinct categories:

The Community Builders Fund provides loans of between £100k and £1.5m to UK charities and social enterprises based in England, Wales and Scotland. 

The fund is supported by the Government guarantee scheme – Growth Guarantee Scheme.

The Heritage Revival Fund has been created to help communities across England rescue and repurpose neglected historic buildings. This programme will focus on regenerating historic buildings in town centre locations.

It will do this by supporting community organisations to take ownership of, adapt and reuse the local heritage assets that matter to them, transforming them into thriving spaces that meet their needs.

This grants programme has been made possible with funding from the Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) and Historic England, and forms part of the government’s wider £270 million investment in arts and culture.

Examples of the types of projects that will be eligible for funding from the REPF include: 

• Creation of rural business hubs providing shared workspace and networking opportunities for rural businesses. 

• Development of new products, facilities or building conversions to help rural businesses diversify outside of agriculture. 

• Community gardens and greenspaces.  

• The creation of new footpaths and development of local visitor trails.  

• Kitchens in community hubs and improvements to premises used by local volunteering groups, such as youth charities or carers groups. 

In addition, Defra has also announced up to a further £5 million in funding to go towards the continuation of important services for rural communities. Part of this funding will go towards The Rural Community Assets Fund, which provides capital funding for the refurbishment and development of community-owned assets, such as village halls or community centres. 

They provide flexible, unrestricted funding and additional support to develop to help charities grow stronger and thrive beyond the lifetime of their grant.

Their focus is where a combination of funding and additional support can make the greatest impact on those they partner with. Their programmes aim to give charities the stability and freedom to use the funding as they best see fit.

Through the Community Impact Grants Programme, funding is available for projects that fall under the following programme areas:

Funding can be used to cover direct capital and revenue costs that are directly related to the proposed project. Funding can be used for new projects or to expand pre-existing work.

Multi-year grants covering up to three years are available.

That's why the Aviva Community Fund backs the clever ideas that move communities forward and provides these amazing causes with vital support and resources.

Aviva will match each donation you receive up to £250. This means that if someone gives £5, we'll double it to £10. If they give £250, we'll match it, so the cause gets £500. Organisations can receive up to £50,000 in match funding and eligible causes can apply at any time.

They help small community groups and small local charities. They do not have a formal definition for a small charity, but if a charity has financial reserves in the hundreds of thousands or millions, it is very unlikely that they would be able to help.

SPAR £100k Community Cashback returns

The SPAR Community Cashback is back for the fourth year in a row.

Due to the amazing success of our yearly £100,000 Community Cashback scheme, SPAR is launching its fourth £100,000 Community Cashback scheme, giving away various grants to local voluntary or community organisations and charities.

The programme is open to applications from churches, cathedrals, denominational bodies and Christian charities based in the UK or Ireland.

Under Building Improvement Grants, we can support direct capital costs relating to the following types of work:

• Essential, one-off repairs or other capital works to ensure the continued use or viability of a building

• Works or equipment to improve disabled access or meet operational requirements (e.g. essential operational equipment, AV equipment, hearing loops, ramps/handrails, lifts etc)

• Conservation or restoration of historic features (e.g. stained glass, carvings, interior furnishings, clocks, tower bells, organs etc) which contribute to preservation and appreciation of a building’s heritage

• Energy efficiency/renewable energy measures (e.g. heating/lighting upgrades, solar panels, etc) which improve the sustainability of church buildings/facilities and enable their continued use

• Aesthetic enhancements (e.g. interior decoration/furnishings or public realm improvements) to improve indoor or outdoor spaces for users

We cannot fund regular maintenance and works normally covered by insurance under this programme.

Please refer to our Community Impact Grants programme if your project is focused on delivering wider community impact rather than undertaking essential building improvements.

Projects will support people from these groups who face barriers in engaging in volunteering or becoming volunteering ready.

How to apply:

Send your expression of interest. If it sounds like something that fits the criteria then the fund will work with you to develop a project to put forward to the panel of experts.

Funds will be given our between July 2025 and January 2027.

Awards are for short term projects (up to 6 months) and can be funded up to £7,500.

Who can apply:

Constituted organisations that have up to date policies and work with the target groups in Norfolk or Waveney.

The Charitable Foundation accepts nominations from Yorkshire Building Society members and colleagues. Donations range from £250 to £2,500. It particularly welcomes nominations from charities that are working in areas of deprivation, and charities that have an income turnover of less than £100,000.

To be considered for a donation the charity must meet the following basic eligibility criteria:

• Registered with the Charity Commission, the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland or the Scottish Charity Regulator

• Funding will help provide urgent support or relief to those experiencing financial hardship e.g. food banks

• Nominated by a Yorkshire Building Society member or colleague

• Beneficiaries in the UK

• Have not received a YBS Charitable Foundation donation in the last 2 years

• Annual returns submitted on time to the Charity Commission, the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland or the Scottish Charity Regulator.

The Foundation invests in projects that develop key skills, attitudes and attributes to foster equitable education and employment outcomes nationwide. Funded initiatives must demonstrate a clear and measurable impact, ensuring that individuals from marginalised communities are supported to meet one or more of the following goals:

• Pursue and sustain their aspirations

• Enhance their confidence and self-belief

• Strengthen their mental health, wellbeing, and resilience

Through these efforts, Bright Futures Grants are aimed at furthering charitable purposes*, to create tangible, long-term change – ultimately leading to greater educational attainment and sustainable employment for individuals who need it most.

The Fund supports the sustainability of Ofcom-licensed community radio stations as set out in the guidance notes published below. Applicants should read these guidance notes in full before submitting an application.

Community radio stations serve a range of local communities across the UK. Fuelled by the hard work and enthusiasm of volunteers, they reflect a diverse mix of cultures and interests and provide a rich mix of mostly locally produced content.

The Community Radio Fund supports Ofcom-licensed community radio stations, including:

• Management

• Fundraising to support the station (e.g., grants, commercial funding)

• Administration

• Financial management and reporting

• Community outreach

• Volunteer organisation and support

Licensees that hold a Community Digital Sound Programme (C-DSP) licence are eligible to apply for the Fund if the station is broadcasting on a digital radio multiplex at the date of their application.

Grants can only be made to Ofcom-licensed community radio stations in the UK, broadcasting on AM, FM, or via a C-DSP licence on a digital radio multiplex. Applications from eligible licence-holders may be submitted in Welsh. Any application submitted in Welsh will be treated no less favourably than an application submitted in English.

Objectives

The Family Hubs Community Fund aims to:

1. Support children and families to flourish and achieve their developmental milestones

2. Prevent neglect or emotional harm.

3. Increase social mobility.

4. Promote wellbeing and develop social networks for children and families.

5. Enable parents and carers to receive information, advice and guidance

6. Enable children and families to access local peer support and share experiences.

7. Provide activities that enhance relationships and promote new skills.

8. Meets local needs through an evidenced base focused on the needs of the families and children/young people within local communities.

Funding Categories

Start-up and Expansion Funding: Up to £4,000 per organisation to fund the start-up of new groups or expand existing ones.

Quality and Sustainability Funding: Up to £2000 to support the purchase of good quality toys and equipment, venue improvements, and other costs to ensure the group's sustainability.

Capital Grant: Up to £9,000 for building alterations, IT upgrades, signage, improving building space and accessibility, and new furniture to support multi-agency service delivery.

Infant Feeding Community Grant: Up to £5,000 to support infant feeding groups, including training, running costs, equipment, and resources to support breastfeeding and infant nutrition.

Applications can be made which cover more than one grant category – but the total cannot exceed £10,000.

As household costs continue to rise, Your Opportunity grants help families meet the significant extra costs of caring. Flexible grants tailored for disabled young adults can help fund items like white goods, technology, clothing, clubs and memberships and much more.

Last year, Your Opportunity made over 1,400 grants to disabled young people for items including:

laptops or tablets to support young people develop digital skills and explore further education, online hobbies and building independence;

transport costs for appointments, clubs or hobbies or memberships for specialist activities;

white goods like fridge freezers, cookers or washing machines, to help with independence.

Mortgage Advice Bureau Foundation may support your project with 3:1 live match funding to your project target, up to a maximum of £5,000. Before completing your application for match funding.

Match Fund pledge conditions:

• Pledges will be matched at a rate of £3 to every £1 donated up to 75% of your project target

• 3:1 match funding will apply to pledges of up to £250. Example; if a project receives a pledge of £50, The Mortgage Advice Bureau Foundation Fund will provide £150. If a project receives a pledge of £1000, The Mortgage Advice Bureau Foundation Fund will provide £750.

• The maximum value of 3:1 match funding a project can receive is £5000

• Only one pledge per supporter will be matched, this will be the first amount pledged by a supporter.

What can the Mortgage Advice Bureau Foundation fund? See some examples below:

Health and wellbeing: Projects focused on helping communities combat health and wellbeing issues to improve their quality of life e.g. social inclusion, sensory gardens, community gardens, mental health, sports projects, purchasing new equipment you do not already have that will help you expand your activities and encourage more people to get involved etc.

The Prevention or Relief of Poverty: Projects focused on helping communities through financial hardship e.g. community food banks, money management and budgeting skills etc.

How statisticians can help third sector organisations
Statisticians collect, analyse and present data across a range of industries and topics. They are experts at using different methods and tools in gathering data and making conclusions.

Whilst third sector organisations understand the value of data and evidence, many are not able to afford the cost of bringing statistical experts to process their data. Statisticians can provide the appropriate tools and guidance needed to gain insights into data. They can help organisations use data in making better decisions and service improvements, and to fully demonstrate the value of their work.

Applications for the United Kingdom Under-26 Fund are welcome from all parts of the United Kingdom.

The Trustees of The Steel Charitable Trust are investing in children and young people through this fund. Charities from all corners of the United Kingdom (except the area covered by our NEW Luton Matters Fund) may apply and Trustees will make discretionary grants from the pool of applications it receives.

This fund aims to improve outcomes for children and young people in different parts of the UK (regardless of their nationality, culture or ethnic origin) who are wholly or mainly under 26 years of age.

The scheme is for those responsible for rural community buildings who wish to make substantive improvements to their building, whether that be extensions or improving energy efficiency and contributing to Net Zero.

Awards can be made to cover 20% of eligible project costs, from £7,500 to a maximum amount of £75,000.   Projects must therefore be to the value of £37,500 or more with the 80% balance of funding being provided from other sources.

Smaller grants may become available later in the year.

To celebrate Clarion’s 125th anniversary, Clarion launched the Making a Difference Fund – a unique opportunity to bring your fresh and inspired ideas to life while creating vibrant, connected communities that will leave a positive legacy for generations to come.

Create change in your community

Open to groups big or small, and new and existing partners, this £50k pot offers grants of up to £5,000 for 10 new local community projects that unites residents and gets them involved, helps forge relationships new and old, and reflects the unique spirit of your neighbourhood.

Clarion are particularly interested in receiving applications for commemorative projects, including community art, gardens and heritage pieces. Clarion would also welcome proposals that will help enhance other local services, strengthen partnerships and expand networks.

To ensure community voices are kept at the heart of the decision-making process, residents will play a key role on the judging panel and help choose the projects that match the fund’s criteria.

Funded activities will take place from September 2025.

Opening in June, the Solidarity Fund will make up at least 10% of the portfolio, starting with £25 million in the financial year 2025/26, rising to £50 million per year from 2026/27.

The Solidarity Fund will provide long-term core funding for up to ten years to organisations tackling the root causes of poverty, disadvantage and discrimination.

In the first year, we expect to award funding to around ten organisations.

This fund is designed to strengthen community efforts by supporting long-term work that builds power, knowledge and solidarity that goes beyond a single place or group. Through flexible funding and collaboration, we aim to create lasting change.

Look out for the Solidarity Fund opening for applications at 10am on 11th June 2025.

The Foundation provides targeted grants up to £2,500 for smaller UK charities (£150K-£1.15M turnover) advancing inclusive AI initiatives. They seek to promote access and opportunity for members of underrepresented and diverse communities in AI innovation.

The quarterly funding rounds support organisations committed to diversity in technology.

Expert Mentorship:

Beyond financial support, they connect funded partners with respected leaders in AI. This mentorship provides practical guidance to enhance impact, improve program delivery, and strengthen organisational capabilities.

Together, funding and mentorship create something greater than their parts – a foundation for meaningful change and sustainable impact.

The Ford Britain Trust particularly encourages applications supported by Ford employees, but is open to all, provided that the qualifying organisations meet selection criteria.

The Trust will favour applications that have national and international  relevance and will not consider applications from overseas charities and causes, and medical research as the family has existing arrangements that cover these areas.

Applications to the trust are reviewed quarterly. Quarterly cut offs are 30 March, 30 June, 30 September and 31 December each year.

The Trustees will consider the amount requested in the context of the overall project and its aims and will consider the other sources of funding and the overall finances of the charity. In addition, applicants should be aware that decisions to award funding are also dependent upon the number and quality of similar competing applications.

Grants between £200 and £2,500 are available for initiatives that promote social inclusion, volunteering, and community engagement. Projects under £500 don’t require match funding, while those over £500 will need to raise 50% through Crowdfunder.

Whether it’s a village hall coffee morning, youth sports kit, or a local arts event, the fund is designed to help small ideas make a big impact.

Our grants are targeted to further the potential and opportunity of children and young people who are surviving abuse, at risk of or experiencing homelessness, caring for a loved one, and challenged by addiction (either personally or through a member of their family).

The Arnold Clark Community Fund is only accepting applications from registered charities and community groups that are within a 50-mile radius of an Arnold Clark branch.

Applications to The Arnold Clark Community Fund are only eligible if people and communities in the UK are the primary focus of investment and if they're made by organisations that are incorporated in the UK. The funding must also provide immediate relief for the organisation, as we cannot commit to providing funding for a future date.

Successful applicants are required to acknowledge the support of Norwich City Council on any publicity materials and to complete an end of project report.

There are no deadlines for applications. You can submit your proposal at any time during the year and the Council aim to assess them within 4-6 weeks.

The application process is straightforward: first take a quick eligibility quiz, then read their guidance and submit an Expression of Interest (300 words and basic organisational details). Successful EoIs may lead to a proposal, which could take up to six months overall.

As part of Carer Money Matters, Caring Together Charity has 400 grants available for Norfolk residents.

They have microgrants available for Norfolk residents to ease their financial worries.

The money could be used to buy interview clothes, an energy efficient air fryer, or gas bottles, obtain your driving licence or pay energy bills. You can request up to £100.

You can also submit one claim in any 12-month period that is less than £1,000, but more than £500.

The Government is extending the Listed Places of Worship Grant Scheme until 31 March 2026, with a budget of £23 million. This will continue to enable religious organisations to claim grants covering eligible VAT costs paid towards repairs and renovations.

To ensure the scheme remains within budget, a new cap will be introduced, limiting the total amount of any individual place of worship can claim to £25,000 in the coming year. Places of worship can make more than one claim, but the total of their claims should not exceed £25,000.

Where a place of worship’s VAT costs exceed the cap, they will still be able to claim up to £25,000.

The Better Youth Spaces fund targets areas with high levels of income deprivation affecting children and is delivered by Social Investment Business (SIB). The fund, which totals £30.5m, is to be used for small-scale capital projects ranging from £5,000 to £100,000, including capital equipment and small refurbishment.

The Individuals and Families Fund is open to eligible customers of any energy supplier, if that supplier does not have its own support scheme.

It provides energy debt grants to eligible households with up to £1,700 of debt on a prepayment meter or credit account.

The funding is being offered by the charity, with support from the Department for Culture, Media & Sport.

The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award charity aims to enable 1.6 million young people starting a life-changing DofE programme by spring 2026. Increasing the number of organisations that can become licensed to deliver the DofE Award is one element of that.

The amount of funding available through the scheme varies depending on what payments have been made by companies and is reviewed on a quarterly basis. Eligible organisations that have registered interest in the scheme will be notified when funds become available.

The minimum grant that can be requested is £20,000 and the maximum grant amount varies depending on the size of the fund available. The scheme can only fund projects lasting up to two years, can fund up to 100 per cent of the project cost and can cover revenue and capital measures.

Charities, Community Interest Companies, Co-operative Societies and Community Benefit Societies must first register with the scheme so that we can confirm their status, internal governance processes and financial health. Not all organisations that register with us will be eligible to apply. Successful projects will be selected by an independent panel of experts.

The Foundation distributes both Zakat and Sadaqah funds; please read our Zakat Distribution Policy for more information. Sadaqah funds are available for all people of all faiths and none. Zakat funds are only available for Muslim applicants.

To be eligible for a small grant or donation, the following criteria must be met.

The Trust currently offers two funds:

British Gas Energy Support Fund – currently open to both credit and prepayment meter customers.

MADL enables these retailers to make meaningful contributions to local charities and good causes—such as grassroots football teams, hospices, and a wide range of community organisations across the UK. Local Funding Priorities

 They fund projects and organisations across the UK. We aim to fund a balance of grants across the UK that address the greatest needs of vulnerable children and young people. • Support disabled children and young people to increase social inclusion and independence. We will prioritise those organisations whose core mission statement is dedicated to supporting and advocating for disabled children and young people.

• Worship and associated community outreach: to ensure places of worship are energy efficient and watertight with an emphasis on wider community use of church halls or Church buildings where those buildings are redundant or too large and where the parish has a focus on non-conditional outward facing work.

• Amateur sport: to improve physical and mental health with a focus on sport provision for people with disabilities.

• Care for the elderly: to allow quality care for those who cannot afford private care or continue living at home.

Every year we aim to support more than 1,400 people, helping them share magical moments with their loved ones and create more precious memories.

The aim of their grants programme is to build communities that unite families of deaf children. For parents with a deaf child, having a strong community is vital, particularly during those first few years when families are still finding out what their child needs. 

The early years are a crucial time for all children. For deaf children, this is even more true. Without adjustments, accommodations and the right support, young deaf children can find it more difficult to develop their language, communication and social skills. This is why, for this funding cycle, they will be focusing on projects that support deaf children in the early years (aged 0-5). This can be directly or indirectly, and projects can also involve older deaf children, deaf young people, families and professionals.

The grant is now open for applications and offering grants between £1000 and £5000. Groups operating in SNG neighbourhoods will be prioritised, where their work directly benefits their customers. They are especially interested in initiatives that show a strong understanding of existing local services, complement current services, address unmet needs, and collaborate with others to create lasting impact. Projects supporting diverse, marginalised, unrepresented or vulnerable groups are particularly encouraged.

In 2025/26 they will be focusing their funding on the following priorities:

1. Community digital support - Projects that improve digital access, skills, and connectivity - through group sessions or one-to-one support - helping people get online and stay connected.

2. Family learning - Initiatives that support learning across generations, helping both adults and children to learn and thrive together.

3. Financial skills and resilience - Community-based projects that build financial confidence, increase income, and reduce debt for those in hardship. We’re especially interested in group money coaching and resilience courses (note: one-to-one debt advice will not be funded).

4. Food education - Projects that promote affordable, healthy eating through cooking skills, nutrition education, and meal planning.

Groups must be delivering services within an SNG community and be able to evidence how funding will benefit and engage SNG customers/the wider community. Groups will be eligible to receive one Thriving Communities grant per financial year.

The funding aims to support the modernisation and improvement of village halls, so that they are fit for purpose and can provide activities which seek to achieve one or more of the following outcomes for their communities:

Improved health and/or wellbeing and/or reduction in rural loneliness.

Positive impact on the local environment, contributes towards net zero.

Support for the local rural economy.

Promotion of community cohesion.

The grants are intended to support smaller capital projects in village halls such as boiler replacements, insulation, toilet upgrades and new kitchens.

Grants of between £2,000 and £5,000 are available to cover 20% of the eligible capital project costs including the VAT.

There is no upper limit for the total capital costs. Smaller projects will be prioritised.

All project work must be completed by 31 March 2026.

Tickets are available to buy for the draws, which are held every Saturday.

How the lottery works

Tickets cost £1 and when supporters buy a ticket they will be able to choose where they want their money to go – 50% of ticket sales will go to the person’s nominated good cause and 10% will go into a community fund run by Broadland District Council to benefit local good causes. The remaining 40% will go towards the prize money.

There will be a weekly draw with a jackpot of £25,000 for a matching sequence of six numbers. The other prizes available are £2,000, £250, £25 or three free tickets.

Your organisation must:

• provide community activities or services within Broadland, which are of benefit to the residents of Broadland

• have a formal constitution or set of rules

• have a bank account requiring at least two unrelated signatories

The Community Grant Programme is run by the National Grid Electricity Transmission (NGET) business. We own and maintain the high-voltage electricity transmission network in England and Wales. The programme is aimed at community organisations and charities in areas where our work is impacting local people through our operations and construction activities.

Communities impacted by the maintenance of existing infrastructure (e.g. refurbishment of overhead lines or substations resulting in road closures and other impacts) can apply for grants of up to £10,000.

Communities impacted by construction work for new infrastructure projects (e.g. the building of new underground tunnels or a new substation resulting in a significant increase in heavy goods traffic, noise and other impacts) can apply for grants of up to £20,000.

Transparency and accountability are important elements of the legal framework for charities. Larger charities deal with greater sums of money, and are therefore subject to more detailed regulatory requirements. Smaller charities often do not have the resources to deal with large administrative costs or burdens, and benefit from less detailed regulatory requirements. The aim is for a legal framework that is proportionate in the requirements it places on charities of different sizes.

If you’ve already submitted a £30,000 and under NLPG application, they expect to be able to keep to the 10-week turnaround, and they’ll write to you directly if this changes.

For applications they receive between 20 December 2025 and 4 January 2026, when their offices are closed, the turnaround time will be 14 weeks.

The VRF provides crisis grants for people who are:

Currently experiencing homelessness or

At imminent risk of becoming homeless

Our funding is focused on helping individuals access accommodation where this would not otherwise be possible. Applications should only be made to us as a last resort, and only where the grant will directly prevent or alleviate homelessness. We cannot fund requests that are solely to reduce financial burdens.

We will consider paying up to £500 for all VRF Grants.

If you are applying for more than this amount, you must clearly explain the exceptional circumstances of your client in the application.

You may apply for more than one grant for the same client. However, the maximum amount we can award to any one client in any 12-month period is £500. This is calculated from the date the initial application is submitted and is not calculated on a calendar year basis.

The programme is open to charities and community organisations based in Greggs’ geographical focus areas. Applicants should demonstrate:

Government figures published last week state that voluntary, community, and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations have been involved in 17,656 government contracts worth £24.4bn over a five-year period.

This equates to 4% of the total value and 6% of the total volume of public contracts awarded between April 2019 and March 2024, according to the report produced by Tussell for the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport.

To reduce loneliness and isolation, and improve wellbeing by encouraging people to stay active, connected and contribute to their communities. 'Time to Talk' chairs are designed to spark conversation and connection in public and community spaces.

Brief

We are inviting community groups to pitch their creative ideas to design and decorate a set of two Time to Talk chairs (wooden kitchen style chairs) and host them in a public area or community setting across Breckland, to promote friendly conversations and community spirit.

How it Works

Mindful Towns Community Champions, Community groups, VCSE organisations and Town and Parish Councils within Breckland are invited to submit a design proposal that includes:

• A creative design concept for both chairs that considers longevity of the design and durability of the materials used.

• Reference to 'Breckland Mindful Towns and Villages' (with optional inclusion of the logo in the design).

• Designs should emphasise a blue colour palette, in line with the Mindful Towns branding.

• A short explanation of how the design encourages connection and open conversations, reducing the stigma around mental health.

• A proposed location to host the chairs (can be flexible), considering permissions, accessibility and footfall.

• A brief outline of proposed costs for decorative materials (chairs are provided).

To be eligible for the small charity funding, applicants must:

How it works:

The Grants for Good Fund awards £60,000 of small charity funding annually between twenty non-profit organisations. The applications cycle runs quarterly, meaning every three months, we will share £15,000 between five shortlisted projects.

Charities and organisations are welcome to apply all year around – and your application will be considered in the next funding round. The annual cycle always looks like this:

Grants must also not be used for services that are provided as standard by government funded education or health services. This includes:

• Teacher of the Deaf (ToD) visits

• teaching, learning, and assessment under the national curriculum

• speech and language therapy for individuals

• any government-funded training you should receive as part of your job (for example, deaf awareness training for teachers)

Can I apply for a community grant?

To be able to apply, all applicants must:

• be based in the UK

• be a group or organisation with a UK bank or building society account

• have a safeguarding policy, procedures, training and checks in place (if you work with or are in contact with children and/or vulnerable adults)

• conduct risk assessments as standard for all activities

• have appropriate insurance in place

• have a governing document or constitution

• produce annual accounts 

Applications for funding can be considered from any source, UK or overseas. Applicants need not necessarily be a charity: they can be a CIC or social group.

Applications can be made in writing by downloading, completing and posting us an application form.

Grant Application Guidelines

Your application should include at least the following:

• details of your current service to visually-impaired people, if any, and how it will be improved or enhanced by the proposed project. We do not need to see lengthy, generalised descriptions of the challenges faced by blind and visually-impaired people;

• an estimate if possible of how many blind and visually-impaired people currently use your service, and how many will use it in the future;

• any funding received or pledged to date for the project in question, and the names of other organisations to which you have applied;

• a copy of your latest annual report and accounts;

• confirmation that your organisation has a safeguarding policy for vulnerable children and/or adults, as appropriate;

• confirmation that your organisation has an equal opportunities policy.

The Trustees meet quarterly to consider applications: in January (deadline 1 December),  April (deadline 15 March), July (deadline 15 June) and October (deadline 15 September).

They are a small trust with limited funds available. Please check carefully that both your organisation and your project meets criteria before making an application.

Criteria

• Your organisation must be registered with the Charity Commission in England, Wales or Northern Ireland or a registered Scottish Charity.

• Funding is restricted to small charities with an annual turnover of less than £500,000.

• They are only able to help charities working wholly or mostly with homeless people - we don’t fund general community work, foodbanks or projects that are not focussed on homelessness.

• They can only accept applications towards the funding of capital projects. They are unable to accept applications towards running/core costs or salaries. .

• They provide small grants of up to £5,000. We do not consider multi-year requests.

• There should be a minimum period of two years between the receipt of a decision or grant and making a further application.

All applicants must complete the online application form.

The quarterly deadlines for applications for funding each year are: 5pm on 20th March/20th June/20th September/20th December.

You will be informed of the Trustees’ decision within eight weeks of each deadline.

The fund provides grants to North Norfolk community groups, including schools and NGOs, seeking financial assistance for projects or initiatives that meet key criteria and focus on renewable energy, marine environment and safety, sustainability, or education in these areas.:

• Tier 3 – Elevate offers tailored, hands-on support for organisations facing complex or critical moments, including one-to-one consultancy. 

The Leeds Building Society Foundation supports those in need of a safe and secure home. We award grants to UK registered charities who align with this purpose and work in the housing and homelessness sector.

Trip length: A day trip or residential trips of up to 7 days

Their small grants scheme funds charities and community groups that directly help children and young people develop literacy skills, with a focus on supporting those with learning difficulties such as dyslexia.

Priority will be given for projects that use volunteers and reading mentors and those that help during transitional points. For example: between primary and secondary school or transitioning to college or work. Grants will be considered for literacy support at any primary or secondary key stage (between ages 5 and 18).

The programme is open to applications at any time, but grants are given three times per year. These are the cut-off points for us to consider your application:

Eligibility criteria

As this grant is available working farming people, we ask questions to ensure the grant goes to households in need that meet our definition of farming people.

The main areas of consideration are as follows:

1. You or your partner must currently live and farm, in England, Wales or NI.

2. You have less than £500 disposable income per calendar month after critical living expenses, or, you are in receipt of state benefits that indicate a low-income household.

a. Typical critical living expenses are Rent/Mortgage, Council Tax, Water Rates, Food, Utilities, Insurance, Childcare, Travel Expenses (according to the Joseph Rowntree Foundation).

1. Successful applicants are not required to provide evidence of how funds are spent.

2. Applicants must be able to provide the relevant personal banking details for WG 2026 payment. Please note the account must be in the applicant’s name either singularly or as a joint personal account. Business accounts will not be accepted.

3. If you request additional support via the application, RABI will contact you using the details you provide on the form.

4. If applicants agree to hear from RABI for a post campaign review, we may be in contact to either;

a. enable RABI to carry out a post campaign review,

b. share feedback about the impact of the WG 2026,

c. allow us to discuss additional support services that you may be entitled to from RABI.

Why is the grant £400 per household?

£400 broadly equates to common household costs that many families are currently struggling to meet. For example, £400 is roughly equivalent to:

A half-tank of heating oil for a rural home.

A month of household food essentials for a family of four.

A month of essential travel costs, such as fuel for school runs or accessing rural services.

The intention is to offer practical, flexible help that farming families can use where the pressure is greatest.

These initiatives range from corporate school campaigns to collaborative charity dinners and awareness-driven festive appeals.

Charities are notified of an outcome within 12 weeks of the round closing. Due to the high number of applications we receive, future rounds may be closed and awarded from previous applications.

Announced this week, the Local Covenant Partnerships Fund will be invested over three years in 15 deprived local areas in England.

The successful applicant, which may be a partnership of two organisations, will begin delivering the fund in April this year and will be responsible for selecting the 15 local areas, which will be supported to implement new “local covenant partnership” agreements.

“I’ve got an idea” is a micro fund for either individuals or small groups or organisations who have an idea which is based on a technological innovation which they want to try out to see if it will work.

It has been set up in memory of Peter Williams by his family. Peter spent his life generating a diversity of technical ideas and experimenting to see if they might work. The process always involved others and was always part of the fun. Some of his ideas worked and some of them didn’t but they all left our world a better and more interesting place. We run this fund in that spirit of imagination, potential impact and fun.

We want to support ways of producing enough healthy, affordable food without harming the planet. 

We will do this by supporting work that: 

• works with nature to create resilient, sustainable and equitable food systems (this is called agroecology) 

• addresses the root cause of long-term problems, not just the symptoms (this is called systems change) 

How much can you apply for

You can apply for a minimum of £2.5 million over 3 years. 

Most projects we fund will: 

• receive between £3 million and £5 million 

• run for between 5 and 7 years 

We expect to fund up to 10 projects in the first year.

Examining the way the financial system operates at the heart of our economy. The financial system is complex, opaque and difficult to understand. This strand aims to expose the hidden systems (or ‘wiring’) that underpin our economy and explore how it can be transformed.

This programme is designed to support community groups or organisations operating within two miles of a One Stop store and which are:

• Tackling food poverty

No more than £50k can be applied for in any given year.

Organisations should have a focus on Family Support 

Up to six projects will be awarded funding, broken down by:

1 x £3000

2 x £2000

3 X £1000

BlueSpark support a wide range of projects initiated by many different organisations and individuals. Their aim is to support relatively small scale projects which might not happen at all or would only happen on a lesser scale without the support of BlueSpark.

Funding provided by BlueSpark must be crucial to your project rather than marginally incremental to its funding.

What is Funded
We prefer to fund project costs rather than core costs.  Projects can include those that provide:

• training for work and personal development,

• clubs and play schemes,

• safeguarding education,

• mental health support and counselling,

• emergency care.

What is not Funded
Grants are not given to:

• individuals,

• non-registered charities/CIOs,

• non-UK charities/CIOs,

• charities/CIOs without a website,

• national charities,

• charities/CIOs with unrestricted income in excess of £100,000 per annum,

• projects based outside the UK.

Usually one-off although longer-term proposals will be considered very occasionally.

Since 2015/16, the amount donated through Payroll Giving schemes has fallen by 15%, so there's scope to grow that again and in the tax year ending 2022 £128 million was donated, so the funding secured can be significant.  And there's scope to grow your relationship with the company and also to engage employees in other ways.

Grants will only be awarded to projects or programs being run by established charitable bodies and will not be awarded to individuals.

Applications must be submitted in writing using the Sasha Foundation grant application form which can be downloaded here. They can be submitted by email or by post to the Foundation’s accountants, Richardson Swift.

Typically grants will be up to £10,000 and at most will be for 50% of the total budgeted cost of the proposed project/program.

At minimum, the trustees will meet twice a year to consider applications: the associate deadlines each year for submitting applications are April 1st and October 1st. In assessing applications they will follow the processes set out in the Sasha Foundation Grant Making Policy, which can be downloaded here.

Applications are open between 7 Sep 2026 - 27 Nov 2026

Grants are normally awarded twice a year, in April and September (following application deadlines of 15 February and 15 August). The maximum grant is £5,000 but some organisations only require modest sums and applicants are welcome to apply for grants of less than £500. Typical grants are usually in the range of £3,500- £5,000.

Supporting charities delivering meaningful projects for young people aged 18 and under, particularly those challenged by abuse, addiction, homelessness, and young carers. One-off grants are available to help organisations create safe spaces, open up new opportunities, and provide vital support and healing for the children and young people they serve.

Opens March

Anything that helps tackle health inequalities and bring people together. We are open to a range of ideas. Projects could include:

• Community gardening or cooking sessions

• Peer support groups

• Activities that reduce loneliness or isolation

• Creative or physical wellbeing projects

• Sports, fitness or youth engagement activities

Who can apply?

• Charities, social enterprises and community organisations

• Local groups with a constitution and basic policies in place

• Residents with ideas - no formal group needed; we can help you set one up or match you with a partner

The grant board will accept applications from residents and organisations based in the neighbourhood but any group delivering a project within Pilling Park or North City Centre is also welcome to apply.

Local people and organisations in each neighbourhood review bids through a supportive “approve and improve” process. Instead of a simple yes or no, the resident led panel gives feedback and works with you to strengthen your idea before making a final decision.

If your project is funded, we’ll ask you to complete a simple impact form at the end. It helps us understand what worked well and what difference your project made. The form is short, and we’re happy to help if you need support

Support Criteria

Miracles deals with cases of substantial need throughout the UK which require urgent attention.

They aim to respond to all request for support within 24 hours.

Miracles’ grants are available to:

Families living in poverty and facing significant hardship and crises which is detrimental to their children’s wellbeing.

​

Families with one or more sick/disabled children and/or dependents being treated in hospital.

​

Child carers who are coping with isolation and loneliness.

​

Single mothers fleeing domestic violence in all its forms (including protecting a child from FGM).

Families with no recourse to public funds – such as refugees.

Grants can be considered for a broad range of support that includes:

• Hospital transport and accommodation (where no other is available).

• Additional medical needs, equipment, special diets, special clothing.

• Towards respite breaks and ‘treats after treatment’.

• Recreational facilities, school trips and other special needs.

• To replace broken household appliances such as washing machines, dishwashers etc.

• Replacing children’s beds and bedding.

• For eligible cases interim grants may also be considered as crisis funding pending benefits being sought or one-off payments to prevent disconnection of household services.

New and innovative projects are preferred. Applicants must also show they have investigated other sources of funding and made plans for future funding.

• Size of organisation
  Organisations with income of up to £5 million will be considered.

• Funding levels
  1.  Their Small Grants Programme has a cap of £5,000.
  2.  Their Main Grants Programme is uncapped, but you are advised to research typical grant sizes previously made through our Charity Commission Annual Reports.

• Organisations we will fund
  UK registered charities and charitable incorporated organisations (CIOs) only.

• Application Deadlines
  Please submit applications in good time prior to the deadlines as this really helps the Company deal with the usual high number and allows them to administer these correctly.

The Charitable Grants Committee meets in February, June and October of each year.  Because of the stages involved in the assessment process, it may take up to 4 months from date of receipt for your application to be processed. This should be considered when planning your project

We are seeking an initial government contribution of £50 million, drawn from the Dormant Assets Scheme, from which the women’s sector has never previously benefited.

Corporate partners and philanthropists have indicated they will match-fund if the government commits first, unlocking long-term, blended investment and establishing stable, future-facing funding for vital women’s services.

The £150 million cash injection will be targeted in areas hit hardest in recent years, and most in need of being brought back together.

Part of the government’s path to renewal, it will help turn the tide on this decline and restore a sense of pride people feel in their high streets and local area – which serves as a vital meeting point for communities.

Communities will bring people back into their local high streets by supporting local, independent businesses, improve neglected shopfronts and open up empty units. This will be the first step in the government’s upcoming High Streets Strategy, announced earlier this week.

It will build action already taken to restore pride in our communities, empowering councils in England to say no to new betting shops and vapes stores, supporting more than a thousand local pubs that offer extra services for communities and rejuvenating over 330 of the most deprived communities through our Pride in Place programme.

This is renewal in action, led by the people who know their neighbourhoods best, and backed by the government which is choosing unity over division.
