         <description><![CDATA[<div>-Watch students closely during a testing situation.&nbsp; Of course they’re going to cheat if you are sitting at your computer.</div><div>-Hold them accountable.&nbsp; They need to know that they can’t talk the teacher out of the zero.</div><div>-Be fair in your timelines.&nbsp; If a teacher throws something at students at the last minute, they will rationalize that since the teacher has been unfair, it’s okay for them to cheat on the assignment.</div><div>-Give clear expectations and teach thoroughly.&nbsp; In English, students will plagiarize if they don’t understand an assignment.</div><div>-Give a time limit on quizzes.&nbsp; This gives students less opportunity to sneak a look at a cheat sheet.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I give multiple versions.</div><div>I may start with 160 questions on something and cut it down to manageable versions.</div><div>This also allows me extra for retesting etc.</div><div>I will do A, B, C, D</div><div>Sometimes I just do colored paper and make sure to share it between rows.</div><div> </div><div>There is always one thought provoking question that is out of the box so they have to show their thought processes.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>English - 1) Lower the stakes by having an opportunity for students to fix their mistakes in class and resubmit another copy (emphasizes Growth Mindset). 2) Turn it in.com 3) Explain the difference between "Collaborating and helping" vs. "cheating" (I explain it by being on levels; people collaborate who are on the same level as equals and have both done the work. Cheaters are at a lower level, so the line of equality is at a slant now because they "mooch" the answers off a person. This is not helping a person in the long run!)</div>]]></description>
