The brown bears eat both meat, and plants like roots,berries,salmon,nuts, and insects. The Brown Bear is the biggest land animal found in forest. Brown bears can also climb trees when young to avoid predators. Brown bears usually live on mountains, in forests, and can be found in tundras. A bears mating season is during the summer, and in the winter when the female bears are hibernating they give birth to the cubs, and the cubs will grow then once spring comes they will come out of the den, and follow the mother for about 1-3 years until going off on their own. The male bears sometimes if food is scarce will feed on the females young cubs, and most of the reasons why cubs die is because of either a predator, or a male bear eating them, but most of the time the cubs will climb up a high tree to avoid any of these predators that can kill them.
