• The Purpose of this introduction is to introduce the ideas of Emile Durkheim and Arnold Van Gennep.

• Content: I will begin comparing ideas from the ritual book and earlier writing’s done by Emile Durkheim and Arnold Gennep.

• Show the difference or similarities in beliefs from earlier to later years. The main idea will be around Emile Durkheim.
