They were enclosed by the Atlantic Ocean from the East, Canada from the North, and Mexico from the South. We then made the decision to avoid wars and controversy and just purchase the louisiana territory which about doubled the size of the US. This was purchased from Napoleon who was the ruler of France at the time. But everyone seems to forget about the Native Americans and how they were forced out by the Americans. This is basically just a review of the louisiana purchase and why the US did it. The document doesn’t say anything that’s negative because they were oblivious to how this affected other people such as the Native Americans. They had no clue that they were ruining the homes of many families and tribes and forcing them to all move out and make room for the Americans. This document is important because it shows us that not only was the American people unaware, but the Government was also unaware.

The next line is the line that best represents the purchase. The line goes, “from sea to shining sea” which is ment to show that they have expanded all the way west and the people of their nation (US) now has the freedom of much much more land.
