They also have plantations and they primarily grow crops for their family. Developed countries practice commercial agriculture and monoculture. They practice extensive labor and their main objective is to make money. Both have farms specific for one crop. They both have people depending on the food produced.

The F stands for truck farming. Truck farming is fruit farming where products were traditionally driven to urban markets and sold. In the video, there were people were driving trucks to deliver crops and plantations to markets. The first O represents feed lots, because in the video, the cows were fed corn to become fattened up and in a tight space so they could be sold. This is feed lots because it is an intensive animal farming for finished livestock’s. The second O represents mixed crop and livestock because the corn represents the crop that were fed to cows while they were growing up. The D stands for commercial farming, because in the video, they were focusing on growing one crop which were onions, to sell to Outback Steakhouse. The H stands for irrigation, because it is the process of diverting water from its natural course or location to aid in the production of crops. They used irrigation to water their crops, so they won’t dry up. It is an efficient way to water crops. The N represents infrastructure, because dams are the fundamental facilities and systems serving a country, city, or other area. The dams helped carry water to other locations where they cannot be supplied with water in the video. The E represents GMOs because it is

Genetically Modified Organisms. In the video, they used planes to spray stuff on the corn so the corn borers won’t affect them greatly.

It is enough to lift 150 million people out of hunger.
- based on the state of food and agriculture.
- to feed our growing population we need to increase our food production by 70%.
- In Kenya, women who have access the same resources as man had a 22% increase in food production.
- In Brazil, through programs that women target women, poverty has decreased half and malnutrition has decreased by 73%.
-women receive only 5 percent of agriculture extension services.
- when women have control over their family's increased income, they spend more time with their family and children's health and nutrition improves.
- Women are leading the trend of sustainable ranching and raising grass-fed breeds of cattle in humane, ecological ways.
- In less developed countries, there are still bigger gaps in gender roles, because they might be traditional and they do not want to accept the fact that women are equal to men so they give women less opportunities
-Women in LDC's produce less than men in LDC's because men get more opportunity and resources than women.
-MDC : 43%
-LDC : 79

Deurbanization of Detroit has caused the brown fields which have scatter the population. Deurbanization has also created food desserts. To combat, these citizens are building gardens to grow fresh produce that otherwise they couldn’t have. There is a lack of urban planning which has enabled citizens to fight against the Governemnt. Like in Stuttgart, Germany, the Stuttgart 21 project was discouraged due to the expensive cost and governments trying to destroy the trees that are a part of history. Urban planning can also cause mixed neighborhoods like in New York City. Urban sprawl has caused negative affects on cities. For example, in Pheonix, Arizona, Urban Sprawling has caused affects like people getting spread out to much which created traffic jams and pollution.
