Over the course of his career, he has also held a wide range of administrative roles with Cardiovascular Associates and other regional health care organizations. Chief medical officer (CMO) of the Northwest Market of Ballad Health since 2015, Dr. Herbert Ladley has assumed CMO responsibilities at multiple Southwest Virginia hospitals. He earned his a master of business administration with a concentration on health care leadership from the University of Tennessee in 2017.

In addition to his accomplishments as a direct health care provider and administrator, Dr. Herbert Ladley has a long history of accomplishments in the field of clinical research. He completed a research fellowship as an Oregon affiliate of the American Heart Association, as well as participating in clinical trials for dozens of pharmaceuticals and medical products. The results of Dr. Ladley’s research have appeared in scholarly journals such as Circulation and Anatomical Record.
