1.      Provide teachers with a better understanding of different types of bullying, including via the use of technology.

2.      Empower and guide teachers to put actions in place to prevent and tackle bullying in their organization or setting.

 The course is designed to provide teachers with an insight into bullying and cyber-bullying, increasing their knowledge and understanding about these phenomena. As an overall goal, it aims to help teachers to identify strategies to deal with or prevent this problem at school. To that end, course participants will be encouraged to share their knowledge and experiences.

Bullying is recognized by the United Nations as a major factor in damaging the overall wellbeing of students, meaning the mental and physical health, causing early school leaving or even suicide. New forms of bullying through social media are adding to the problem, making imperative the need for teachers to find ways of preventing and combating it at school level.
