An easy way that I have found to use technology to stay fit is by using different apps on my smart phone. One of the apps that I use is called My Fitness Pal, this app allows me to track my calorie intake and my workouts and gives me goals for reaching my ideal weight. I also use a GPS watch to track my heart rae, calories burned and the distance that I run. I have found both of these methods effective in staying fit or "attempting" to stay fit.

I have found a VERY useful site! It is called myfitnesspal.com. It allows you to track all of you daily food intake as well as active duties. If you log in everyday you would start to feel weird by entering in bad foods. So it keeps me on track!

The app I use is called MayMyRun. You can log just about any kind of exercise on it, everytime I run or workout, I log my information. It does the same thing as My Fitness Pal.

It keeps track of my daily progress and I can see if I'm on track with the previous months. It also has a GPS, so I can see my routes. I like to think of it as a way of giving myself credit for work put in, it even keeps track of my lifetime stats, from the date that I began using the app. There are other ways to use technology to help your fitness goals. Another thing I like are podcasts of running music set to a certain BPM that I download from itunes. There are tons of podcasts available for download that you can use for working out. There are some models of treadmills that are programmed to mimick terrain of locations around the world so the ramp moves up or down according to that location. It helps break up the monotony of being on a treadmill. These are just a few of the things I could come with off the top of my head, but there are a lot of uses for technology in fitness.

Like several others have posted, I utilize apps on my phone or computer to track fitness progress. Games like Wii Fit are great to get children involved in fitness while still having fun.
