I feel like a big part of the American Dream is making money. People in America are kind of obsessed with money and I feel like that is not what the American Dream used to be about.

I feel that the American Dream is a combination of several ideals and beliefs. For summary sake, the main factors are Opportunity, Desire, and Acceptance. Opportunity meaning an equal chance for everyone who enters America. Desire meaning the want for everyone who comes here and their desire for success. Finally, Acceptance, meaning everyone who inhabit this nation is welcomed and wanted within our lives.

The American dream can be many things such as jobs, making money, freedom, and being independent. But, I think prosperity is a big thing. When people talk about wanting the American Dream, a big part is being able to prosper in every part of life.

The American dream is a lot about equal opportunity and that is why people want to come here. I don't think that there really is equal opportunity though.

American dream is first of all the opportunities which are unique and can be seen only in American society. I saw lots of stuff people appreciate here , but in Ukraine it is not appreciated a lot. LIberty , democracy and freedom are the main opportunities which are given to Americans . I wish Ukrainian government had the same priorities as American one.And basically American dream is to keep it for a long time.

But some people are all, “What about the strain on our resources?” Well it’s like when I had this garden party for my father’s birthday. I put R.S.V.P. ’cause it was a sit-down dinner. But some people came that like did not R.S.V.P. I was totally buggin’. I had to run to the kitchen, redistribute the food, and squish in extra place settings. But by the end of the day it was, like, the more the merrier. And so if the government could just get to the kitchen and rearrange some things we could certainly party with the Haitians. This is a quote from "Clueless" and people want to come to America to better their lives , just like people in America. If everyone had equal opportunities to make a better life the world would be a better place. I'm not saying everyone needs to be rich, but it's basic human rights that everyone can not starve.

To me, the American Dream means the ability to prosper and make a living. To be able to support your family and practice your religion without government or societal intervention. We all live our own lives and don't have to worry about not getting other's approval. We have the ability to coexist and don't force our belief onto others. If I'm a Christian baker, then I don't have to serve at your gay wedding.

I think the American dream is about the potential to pursue your dreams. With no boundaries and the freedom to do as you please. Wanna worship satan? America doesn't care. Wanna believe in a giant monster? America doesn't have a problem with scientology.
Accused of a murder you didn't commit? Convicted? Deficient counsel? Reasonable probability that the outcome would have been different? Gotta put it to the Strickland test.
