Pattagissi. By Leena Evik

i sang Pattagissi by Leena Evik, with the infants, they listened (sit still) for like a minute or two, and were all over the place again. Infants are harder to let them sit still for longer, next time id do with the older kids as they can understand more of the lyrics and participate in the acting.

-Joan

Children already knew the song so i just had to explain that i will sing the song with three things to do. Clap hands, stomp feet and say “Hurray!” They were happy and so was i because clapping made us happy, stomping was fun and shout “Hurray” was good 😊 the challenging for me was my first explanation i had to because children were looking at me. Good thing they listened but was already comfortable with me. Was week 5(?) practicum when we did the planning for the song. I don’t think I would sing it differently unless the kids wants a longer song for this, it can be extended.

-Debbie

I was asked to lead a circle time song at the toddlers side, and I was thinking to do Tallima mitiralaat, where we can use our hands and do gestures while singing the song. I am hoping that the children will be engaged in the circle time song and hoping everyone will be participating with me when I lead. I will do this when I get a chance to make up for my hours before this coming holiday. -Jean
