The current most important change to infrastructure in Sydney is toll roads which affects every traveller and driver in the city of Sydney and its outer suburbs and significantly impacts on costs of food and consumables for the region. The NSW government has recently provided release in the way of cash back to toll road users.

Transurban, one of the world's largest toll-road operators, has warned the government against radical changes to the road network and has stated that any changes could see drivers paying more.
