Caliphs considered themselves defenders of Islam and the rightful leaders of the Muslim community and inforced this by military use. Sultans controlled&nbsp;the army and got their power through the caliphs, and were often the ones with the most power. Wazirs appointed people with positions in the government and got their power through leaders in higher positions.</div>]]></description>
