I did not like the very last scene. I felt as though it was not very real as it took place in the woods (in Singapore's perspective as they do not allow children to go into the woods). Besides, I feel like the seventh-graders were being bullies and attacking the younger children, which is wrong for them to do.

The last scene was also meaningful to me as I feel like when witnessing someone else get bullied, you should stand up for them against the bullies, holding your ground and standing united against a obstacle ahead.

I learnt that friendship can become very complicated as some times the other's action has more meanings than the one you only think about, as well as the amount of things your friend does for you and underneath the surface. For example, in scene 4, Oggie thinks that Jack betrayed him by talking behind his back. However, Jack's true intention lay hidden to Oggie and he refuses to comply.

I also learnt that defending your best friend is right. In scene 5, Julian asked Jack why he would want to partner with Oggie, calling Oggie "a freak." Without hesitation, Jack slapped Julian, intending to defend the reputation of Oggie from getting worse, showing that good friends are worth defending for, even with a sacrifice.

Lastly, I learnt that a friendship can form even over differences. In school, Oggie was teased a lot because of his face. However, Jack decided to become his friend and the two bonded quickly, showing that even with differences, a friendship can bond.

The no tolerance of bullying scene as we could not see it due to the lightspeed filter agent blocked it from allowing us to see.

I did not like the scene where the principal met Julian and his parents. This was because Julian was clearly the perpetrator, but yet his parents were finding excuses for him, like lying that they were the ones who wrote the hurtful notes. They even threatened the principal by telling him that Julian had many friends who would stand up for him in school. This might make Julian think that it was fine to be deceitful, and that could lead to disintegration of his moral values.

I felt that the last scene was meaningful as the people who stood up for August were ironically the ones who bullied him at first. This highlighted how one's mentality and behaviour can change anytime, allowing one to turn over a new leaf.

Here are 3 things that I have learnt about friendship:

-Friendship requires courage. In one of the scenes, Jack was invited by Julian to sit with him -- meaning August would have to sit next to one of the other bullies. Jack politely declined, having anticipated that there would be dire consequences in doing so.

-Friendship can be social acceptance, too. This can be seen when Jack was the only one sitting with August during recess and playing with him. This was despite the other children classifying August as "weird" at the time.

-Last but not least, friendship can be enigmatic. This was displayed when Julian and the other initial bullies stood up for August at the end.

I did not like the scene where the Jack and August get bullied by the three seven graders. I do not like this scene as it was really like sad that just because they were larger in size does not mean they were better and could bully them.

I think the part where Jack still keeps august as a team even if Julian asks to team. I think this is meaningful as friends should actually be like this.

I learn that friend should help one another and defend one another. I learn that they should also share thing with one another.

I did not like the scene where Julian's parents tried to cover up the fact that he was bullying August and blame him instead of their son, trying to play victim talking about how Julian had to be taken to a child psychologist and even attempting to guilt trip the principal by reminding him how much money they had donated to the school. They are much worse than Julian in my opinion as he actually showed remorse, while his parents simply refused to take any blame at all. I believe often times parents are at fault for raising their child with the wrong values, just like Julian's parents. This scene made me really pissed off.

I found the scene where the kids who used to bully August stood up against the older kids who were picking on him meaningful as this was really a moment where they got to redeem themselves, and it shows that people can change under the right guidance. I loved how they all stood together in the end and August wanted to cry because it was the first time he truly felt accepted by the other kids, and it really warms my heart to know that he found good people to be with.

The first thing I learnt about friendship is that you have to be brave. It took a lot of courage for Jack to stand up against Julian even when he was offered the chance to be his friend, because he knew that it was right to stick by August's side.

The second thing I learnt is that true friendship is capable of overcoming all differences. Despite August looking different from the other kids, Jack still decided to be his friend, and they truly had a deep bond.

The last thing I learnt is that friendship can come in unexpected places. August was able to befriend the kids who used to bully him, and I believe you can be friends with anyone. All it takes is mutual understanding and acceptance.

I did not like the part when Julian asked August if his face was because of a condition or a car crash as I think its a rude question towards August since this feels like mocking the way he looks.

The scene where Jack became friends with August is the most meaningful scene. Despite how August looks, Jack was still wiling to become friends with him and play with him. As time goes by, they played more with each other and during recess they will always eat together while catting and making each other laughs. This must have make August really happy since this is his first time studying in a school as he has been homeschooled the entire time. Maybe August did not expect anyone willing to become friends with him for the way he looks.

I learnt that despite our differences, friendship is not a problem. Despite how someone looks like, friendship is never an obstacle. We should not make fun of them or bully them but we should accept those with differences.
