in chapter 29 tobias cut sage on sages back but sage didnt tell anyone that tobias cut him because he knew that he can blackmail tobias. tobias told sage not to tell conner because tobias knew that conner would kill him if sage told and sage told tobias to not act smart as before because it makes roden and sage look bad.

In chapter 35, they left the scene from Conner to hide from Veldergrath. They went in the secret passage ways they found. They got as close as possible to here there conversation. They were talking about the princess coming to visit Conner, saying that prince Daurios is dead and that's a fact. The Veldergrath added that he took four boys from different orphanages. Conner said he needed them to plant but they escaped the moment he turned his back on them.
but Veldergrath implied that the day the died he poured drink for them, accusing that he could have poison the King and queen. Then asking permission to search Farthenwood and Conner said yes. Tobias asking Sage that they will not find us right. Sage just shrugging saying, "I don't know

Chapter 31 Summary

In chapter 31 Princess Amarinda and her parents arrive to Farthenwood to have dinner and to discuss about the rumors of the royal family. The three boys all work as servants in disguise so that Princess Amarinda won't recognize them when one of them is presented at court. When the princess arrives sage notices that there is dirt on her cheek, and he tells her so that she wouldn't have dinner with dirt on her face. This was shocking to the princess because all the other servants would say she is the most beautiful person in the room. During dinner Princess Amarinda discussed her travels as she toured Carthya in the recent weeks. Then Conner and the princess start talking about some rumors that were spreading about the royal family. This rumor was that the Royal had been poisoned at supper and were dead by morning. After a while of talking about the rumor Conner says that he thinks that Prince Jaron could still be alive and that maybe the princess would have to marry him if he was alive and Prince Darius is dead. Princess Amarinda got mad and asked for an escort to her room. She asked if Sage could escort her. When they did she told him that she liked how he had told her the truth. She kept talking even thought Sage wasn't saying much.

In chapter 33 Conner talks about a problem with King Eckbert. King Eckbert only thinks of peace in the world. What i mean by this is he doesn´t think of war only peace.

Sage wakes up after previously being stabbed by tobias. Roden imediatly notices that there is blood on his shirt. He mostlikley knows that it is tobias at fault. He threatens to tell conner than tobias makes a truce so his life would be spared. Sage sees Imogen and Imogen lets Sage know that Mott dosent belive him.

In chapter 35 of the False Prince, Sage was ledding Tobias and Rioden in the tunnels because Veldergrath was there. It was bad that Veldergarth was here because if they get caught they will all die. What Sage and the two other boys noticed about Veldergrath was that his hair was so tight and pulled back, they wondered how he could blink. When Conner was done saying hello to his ‘Old friend’,they walked into the estate. Tobais pointed out that if they were going to eat it is going to be a while. They were just talking about the princess and then it as about this emerald box that Sage is

Keeping. Veldergrath accused Conner that he was hiding it and Conner said he was not hiding it from him and other people. Veldergarth also pointed out that there was a rumor that Conner had got three other boys from their orphanages. Conner said no I didn't do that. Then they were talking about the Royal Family and about their death and about how Conner was there and how he was piring the Family’s drinks. It almost sounded like Conner had killed the royal family by poisoning them. Then after that talk Veldergrath asked Conner if he could search the estate for the box. My opinion when Conner said yes to Veldergrath was not wise of him because Sage found out the tunnels in one night, what about 50 people finding the tunnels in one day?

Mott helped them by giving them some instructions on how to act around the princess. Tobias discovered that Sage put the knife back in the kitchen so he wouldn’t be suspected for anything. In chapter 34, Conner told all 3 of the boys that they are going to be fixed on their looks to look more like prince jaron. During chapter 34 Conner also told Tobias that he has about a 10% chance of being picked because of the truce Tobias and Sage has.

After the princess was in her room Sage started heading to his room because of the cuts on his back and he was also tired. Errol helped Sage get dressed and for once Sage was happy Errol did because he was in pain because of the cuts. Finally Tobias and Roden came back upstairs, but sage was already in bed starting to fall asleep. Then Connor wanted to talk to Sage and Mott made him change out of his nightclothes because it was disrespectful. Conner asked what Sage thought about Princess Amarinda and what they talked about when Sage was escorting her. Sage also had asked about his plan to prove that one of the boys is Prince Jaron and how he was gone for several years. After they talk Sage leaves and goes to bed again.

Roden realizes that it is Tobias’ fault and gets mad at Tobias. Sage threatens to tell Conner that Tobias stabbed him, but Sage makes a deal with Tobias so his life would be spared. Tobias needs to act less educated, prince like, and obedient so that Sage won’t tell Connor. If Sage becomes prince then he will make sure Tobias’ life will be spared.

The next day Sage got pulled out of Mistress Havala’s class by Mott so he could work on sword fighting with Sage. During this sword fighting session Mott and Sage started talking about prince Jaron and King Eckbert. They said that King Eckbert was a peaceful ruler, at all costs and that Carthya had avoided war for generations. That evening Conner had news for the boys, and it definitely wasn’t good. They had to shorten the time for training to be the boy for Conner’s plan. The boy that would be the False Prince would be picked in two days time.

The next day the boys weren’t training, but they were getting fixed up to look more like Prince Jaron. They were getting haircuts and Sage dyed his hair. Sage looked very alike to the prince at this point and maybe might actually have a chance of getting picked. At the end of chapter 34 Crgean tells Conner that Veldergrath is on his way to Farthenwood and has armed men with him. Conner tells Sage to bring the boys to his secret passage ways. Hopefully the boys don't get caught by veldergrath.
