For my Teaching English First Additional Language course, I created a handmade 'Big Book' based on a folk tale 'The Hare and the Tortoise for Grade 1 learners. This assignment required creativity and drawing, as I couldn't use any printed materials.

I presented the book on video, reading it aloud as if to a class. It was a fun project with a meaningful story, designed especially for a school with limited resources.

I enjoy specialising in education because if allows me to help others understand and engage with their subjects, often by making complex ideas simpler and more accessible. For younger learners, subjects like Life Skills are especially rewarding to explore because they shape not only academic growth but also personal development, teaching empathy, resilience, and basic problem-solving skills.

For Grade 1-3 students, Life Skills covers essential areas like emotional regulation, interpersonal relationships and self-care. These are crucial skills that students will use daily, both in and out of the classroom, which makes teaching this subject particularly meaningful.
