They could follow it up by grouping the questions into categories, too. They get so much ownership over their learning and get invested in finding the answers to THEIR questions! MS students struggle with asking questions for information. A standard we can do better at is giving them the tools and opproptunity to form questions and guide their own learning.  It will be a good thing to do with the 8th grade while the 7th graders are at camp.

These skills, then, can be worked into crafting students' individual essential questions at the beginning of units in order to personalize their reading of a specific text.
