High Tatras is a mountain range located in Slovakia. It is the highest mountain range in the Carpathian Mountains.The range is part of the Tatra National Park which is in UNESCO. Gerlach shield is the highest peak in Slovakia. It is about 2,650 meter tall. Climbing Gerlach shield requires a private quide. Visitors can go skiing,hiking and snowboarding here. High Tatras is a popular tourist destination in Slovakia.

Bojnice castle

It's beautiful castle in Slovakia. It's located in Region of Trencin.

It was built in 12th century and the castle was made of wood. But in 13th century it was rebuilt to stone castle. In 1950 the castle burned and then it was built again and it was decided that there would be a museum. In 1970 it was derclared a national cultural monument.

You could visit it because there is a very famous mine building where coins are mined. You could also go to the mine where it was around 1361 and where the first gold was excavated in Slovakia. You can also visit the church of St. Ján Krstiteľ, the territory of the Kremnica mines was dedicated to him. The church in the gotic style was built in the 13th century.

Its history follows a familiar pattern of construction, destruction, reconstruction, fire, various ownerships and territorial squabbles. After a period of dilapidation dating until World War II, the castle became a national monument.
