Effects?
Mussolini created fascism, and in 1922,his followers, "the Blackshirts" marched to Rome, where they planned an insurrection, where they took over the government by force, and forced the Italian king to assign Mussolini as prime minister. Nationalists rebels were fascists who were strictly against the current communist Spanish government, and believed that the Catholic Church should be involved in legislation. Nationalists were heavily backed up by fascist dictators, Hitler and Mussolini who were trying to get rid of communism and capitalism influences in Europe. Francisco Franco, became the fascist dictator of Spain from 1939-1975.
Republicans/Loyalists?  Republicans were part of the legitimate democratically elected government that held many leftists views and believed in the separation between the church and the state, supported by, communist power, the USSR. Although there were many Republican sympathizers such as Britain, France and the US, these countries stayed neutral inorder to minimize war tensions between the Axis powers.
Some Historians argue that the Spanish Civil War is the actual beginning of WWII, to what extent do you agree or disagree and why?

The coffee prices in Brazil plummeted, putting many coffee farmers in poverty. The global market was not buying coffee, so in order to keep coffee prices from falling even more, the Brazilian government order the burning of thousands of coffee sacks.
How do the steps that Vargas takes compare to those of other totalitarian rulers at the time?
Compared to other totalitarian leaders of that time, Vargas had more liberal ideals, he also extended many social programs that benefited the general public, reforming the educational system and assuring workers a minimum wage.
