Who Was Albert Bandura?

Albert Bandura was a well-known social-cognitive psychologist who is famous for postulating the theory of self-efficacy, but we'll get back to that theory later. Let's take a brief look at his life and career.

Bandura was born in 1925 in Alberta, Canada, and as of this writing, he's still alive and well, living in the United States. He is best-known for his work in social-cognitive psychology, or the branch of psychology that deals with people learning from observing others and interacting with them. One of Bandura's most famous theories is his theory of self-efficacy. Self-efficacy literally means the belief of a person that his or her actions are effective or make a difference. In this lesson, we'll discuss this theory in-depth and we'll see how it relates to psychology on the whole.

A technique of neo-impressionist painting using tiny dots of various pure colours, which become blended in the viewer's eye. It was developed by Seurat with the aim of producing a greater degree of luminosity and brilliance of colour.
Unlike some art movements, Pointillism has nothing to do with the subject matter of the painting. It is a specific way of applying the paint to the canvas. In Pointillism the painting is made up entirely of small dots of pure color.

The Zentangle Method is an easy-to-learn, relaxing, and fun way to create beautiful images by drawing structured patterns. ... Zentangle art is non-representational and unplanned so you can focus on each stroke and not worry about the result. Just as Zentangle helps build hand-eye coordination in all people, its benefits are particularly effective for those in the process of rebuilding motor skills. Connecting, shading and forming a Zentangle image into a beautiful whole is a peaceful yet makes new ties in the mind that can be seen in everyday life.
