         <title>Nearpod</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Nearpod has Interactive lessons such as slides and polls, formative checks, collaborate boards, and interactive video. Nearpod also has synchronous/asynchronous modes, and a large library of premade lessons for teachers to use.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>Teachers can create a lesson with branching setups. An example is a teacher can start the lesson as a whole class, then students choose one of 3 station activities in Nearpod such as practice, reflection video and quiz, and challenge task based on a quick formative poll. Teachers can then use post session reports to group students for reteach if necessary.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>Nearpod also has a gamify function via time limited mini-quizzes. Nearpod also uses Collaborate Boards for student voice, and offer student choice pathways.</p><p><br></p><p>Nearpod is able to document information on interactive formative assessment which allows for improving individualized feedback.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Edpuzzle is an online program that creates interactive video lessons by inserting questions, voice notes, and checks for understanding. Teachers can view student watch/answer analytics to gauge understanding and progression. <br><br>Teachers can assign the same core video with embedded, leveled question sets that range from basic comprehension to deeper analytical questions. Edpuzzle lets students self select based on a readiness poll or teacher assignment. Teachers can use analytics to provide targeted follow-up of the students progress and understanding.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>Teachers can provide short mini lesson videos that has immediate feedback on embedded questions, and allowing students to rewatch with targeted hints that can increase mastery and autonomy.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Google Classroom is a free online platform for teachers to create online classrooms that consolidates students into their classes and organizes assignments, materials and announcements. It is a great way to centralize class workflow and communication.<br><br>Teachers can implement the use of Google Classroom by organizing and having materials accessible for all students. Teachers can create assignment tabs so students know what/when it is due and the resources associated with said assignment. <br><br>Ideas for engagement are students commenting a response towards an assignment and teachers giving feedback to the students. Students can also submit videos or the teacher can put a video to create asynchronous engagement.</p><p><br></p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Kahoot uses game based formative quizzes which can be done through synchronous live games or self paced assignments. Kahoot has a lot of gamification features.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>Teachers can use Kahoot through an asynchronous set up for individuals. It also has different set ups when it comes to difficulty that teachers can set up to challenge individuals.</p><p><br></p><p>Kahoot challenges creates leaderboards for choice based groups, private progress tracking for growth mindset, which show improvement instead of rank, and shorter micro games to reduce anxiety.          <description><![CDATA[<p>Pear Deck is a program that has Interactive slide questions and formative checks embedded in Google Slides or PowerPoint. This supports live and student paced modes and accessibility features.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>Teachers can prepare a slide deck with layered questions that can focus on recall, application, and extension. It also can be setup towards student-paced mode and have extension slides for those who demonstrate mastery on the formative checks.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>Pear Deck also has quick polls and visual drawing responses to let students show thinking in multiple modalities. It also gives private teacher feedback within the session to reinforce growth.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Flip allows for short video responses for discussion, reflection, presentations and supports diverse expression and social presence.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>Flip uses tiered prompts that has students choose between a short response, a standard explanation, or a deep dive mini presentation. Flip also can use rubrics to differentiate expectations and allow alternative submission types such as script, slides, and transcript.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>Flip also allows for asynchronous peer feedback such as stamps and replies, badges for thoughtful responses, and options for text/audio for students uncomfortable on video. Flip can support reflection and social presence when implemented correctly.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Desmos classroom has free graphing calculator and activity builder for interactive math tasks. Some examples include Marbleslides, Polygraph, and scaffolded slide sequences.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>Desmos offers a choice of Desmos activity paths such as guided practice, exploratory challenge, and visual concept mashups for different types of learning. There is also a teacher dashboard so teachers can see student responses and pull small groups for targeted mini lessons.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>Desmos provides immediate, visual feedback through animations, and dynamic graphs to support conceptual understanding. Desmos also allows students to “play” with parameters and submit creative screenshots for assessment such as manipulating graphs.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Kami is used to annotate PDFs, add audio comments, and text-to-speech on various types of works. It is compatible with Google Drive. Kami is excellent for accessible, multimodal assignments. Once Kami is installed, students and teachers can annotate and share any pdf or other various works and edit them accordingly (Enoch, 2018).&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>Kami provides a single PDF with tiered scaffolds in layers: base text, teacher hints , and challenge prompts. Students can pick which layer to reveal; teachers can leave individualized audio/text feedback on student annotations.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>Kami allows for multimodal student responses (typed, drawn, audio), using annotation checklists for self-assessment, and can be used to assign peer-review annotation tasks.          <description><![CDATA[<p>Padlet is a visual collaboration board (sticky-notes, media, timelines) which is great for exit tickets, portfolios, collaborative brainstorming and choice boards.&nbsp;</p><p><br/></p><p>Individuals can create a choice board Padlet with assignments at multiple levels. Students can post evidence of learning through the use of video, image, or link to the tile that matches their chosen challenge. Padlet also allows teacher comments to scaffold posts for students who need extra support.&nbsp;</p><p><br/></p><p>Padlet has visual, social displays of student work. It also allows peer voting for favorite artifacts with asynchronous commentary badges. Padlet is a great tool for social constructivist tasks and motivation when tasks are scaffolded.</p><p><br/></p>]]></description>
