pt 3 Dinner then sleep

Zaroff invites Rainsford in, and Rainsford cluelessly accepts. Then Zaroff told Ivan to get Rainsford ready for a meal as he is to sleep in the guest room. while Rainsford is away Zaroff gets his hunt for that night ready but realising too late he forgot to drug Rainsford's drink. When Rainsford comes down he is told to sit at the table and wait for Zaroff. When Zaroff walks in he sits at the table trying to figure out what he will do to not discomfort Rainsford to the point of leaving before bed. So Zaroff began to tell Rainford about his life before the island. Then Zaroff began to tell him why he moved to this island And told him that he wanted to take him on a hunt tomorrow. Rainsford then began to realize what he was talking about but didn't think he would become the one being hunted. Zaroff took Rainsford to bed locked the door from the outside and let the gas flow through the room causing rainsford to lose consciousness with full remembrance of the gas and realizing that he is the prey for the hunt.

pt 1 rainsford falls off the boat

Zaroff knows a very brave and curious man named rainsford is coming through his island to hunt in rio. So Zaroff popped 3 shots to get Rainford's attention and when he came to the side of the boat, zaroff shocked him causing rainsford to slip in the water. Soon After he shot a couple bullets in the air to get rainsford to swim to the bay he swam to the shore where Zaroff set a trap causing him to fall unconscious. while rainford was asleep Zaroff made a easy trail for rainsford to follow the next day

"an abrupt sound startled him. off to the right he heard it, and his ears, expert in such matters, could not be mistaken." "Somewhere, off in the blackness, someone had fired a gun three times." "Rainsford sprang up and moved quickly to the rail" "rainsford remembered the shots, they had come from the right, and doggedly he swam in that direction." "He flung himself down at the jungle edge and tumbled headlong into the deepest sleep of his life."

pt 2 rainsford finds the mansion

zaroff waited at his house ready to act surprised to see a man on his island so he waited at the door with a gun in his hand. He began to notice it was getting late. "did I make the trail unfollowable. Did I put to much gas in the trap and it killed him." thought Zaroff. Zaroff bega to lose hope, as the lights of the mansion turned on he went to his room in disappointment. 5 minutes later Zaroff began to hear his friend Ivan speaking, he looked out the window and saw Rainsford walking up to his door. Zaroff grabbed his gun and ran downstairs as Rainsford was knocking. Zaroff opened the door and pointed his gun at his heart.

pt 4 Zaroff's hunt

Zaroff set off for his hunt when he quickly realized that the man he's hunting lost his nerve and ran in a straight line. zaroff quickly found him only 300 yards away from the house with the knife Zaroff gave him in his lifeless hand with blood surrounding the body. Zaroff Stomped off in anger to clean up the mess that he didn't cause. the next afternoon Zaroff unlocked rainsford's door and gave him the rules and the materials. I will begin the game at night, you have the day to do whatever knowledge you have to survive. Zaroff fell asleep, and woke from his sleep that night, to begin his hunt. Rainsford Made a very confusing trail, I should have fun with this one. Zaroff eventually found his cutoff and noticed Rainsford in a tree. So Zaroff began to toy with him. Zaroff was having fun with this one, so he just left rainsford alive. The next night Zaroff went off into the woods and quickly noticed something off. he touched it and a log came tumbling at him. He barely got out of the way as it slammed into his shoulder. Zaroff began screaming at rainsford in pain and anger, and left to fix his shoulder, just to return later that night. That night Zaroff returns with his best dog, who tracks to the swamp and falls in a hole and dies. In disappointment Zaroff lets Rainsford know the respect he's earned. The next night Zaroff returns with Ivan and his pack of dogs. Ivan runs into a trap and gets stabbed by the knife of rainsfords, Zaroff leaves him to die and chases Rainsford to the edge of island where Zaroff watches him jump off the cliff. Zaroff assumes he's dead and goes back to his mansion

pt 5 the ending

Zaroff makes himself a delicious dinner and goes to bed. when he walks up and There Rainsford was hiding behind a gun in anger. Zaroff unphased chucks a knife at him but misses. Rainsford with no emotion draws the gun and shoots Zaroff in the head

"I'm still a beast at bay. Get ready, general Zaroff." "I see, splendid! one of us is to furnish a repast for the hounds. The other will sleep in this very excellent bed. On guard, Rainsford."
