It will be a good year with my new workers, I have a new family out in my plantation,  a former slave and his family . I was gonna kill him but I wouldn't make money off the black man. He already asked for a loan of 200 dollars heck yeah I will give it to him come next year he will be  giving me more money cause of this loan. I have 3 other families working for me, my other workers have been doing a fine job. One family keeping the corn good and the other families growing cotton. Right I am in desperate need of help. My 10 years of old son and I were working on our roof when he stood up to go around me & he fell off the roof. He is in pain and has a broken leg & further more injuries for all we know. We don't have enough money to get help from the doctor, could please help. Yes I do believe that it was a success it may have been rough but many great things happened, some laws would not be here today if it was not for the Reconstruction. Even the bad things also turned to good, such as scalawags. Scalawags may not have the best life they still had a home and food. Slaves finally got to vote and become free.
