Monitor patient Pain Score.

2. Icing is an important part of recovery from surgery. Reduce swelling and inflammation by applying ice for 20 minutes every hour. Usually, a splint will be placed after the surgery for an ankle fracture. The ice can be placed over the splint and be sure not to let the splint get wet., Care of the splint is important.

3.
