Best Transcendental Quote

"I have heard of a man lost in the woods and dying of famine and exhaustion at the foot of a tree, whose loneliness was relieved by the grotesque visions with which, owing to bodily weakness, his diseased imagination surrounded him, and which he believed to be real. So also, owing to bodily and mental health and strength, we may be continually cheered by a like but more normal and natural society, and come to know that we are never alone.” -Henry David Thoreau. If you sit and think about this quote for a while you'll realize it has many transcendentalist tenants, one is close relationship with nature. Another is self reliance.

Spirtual Well Being Best Author

Ralph Waldo Emerson best aeticulates the idea that one's spiritual well-being is more important than one's financial or social well-being, Emerson was the first author we started reading on and he more flows this way, for example Emerson says “Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day. You shall begin it serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense.”
― Ralph Waldo Emerson i feel that this quote best shows that Emerson believes that one's social well-being is more important than social and financial. I personally use this quote because it has meaning to me, i have it on my desk at home so i can see it every morning and hope for better days.

I feel like this photo is an amazing transcendental piece. If you look closely at everything in the picture you see the beauty in it the way the water flows, the trees in the background, the mud where the water touches it all connects to one bigger thing and that makes this picture show the transcendental tenant of spiritual well being. the stick in the picture reminds me of life that atick was once part of a tree but its off doing new things contributing to nature just like i should do.

The song I chose is Imagine by John Lennen I feel like this song has a lot of the tenant of a simple life in it for example, "Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people sharing all the world" in a world like this we could learn to love one another also when the song says "Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people living life in peace" also when Lennen says "Imagine there's no heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people living for today" all these quotes from his song show the simpler life tenant and i feel that its an amazing thought.
