The flashes of lighting spooked him but through the sounds of pouring rain he could hear something downstairs “Huh?” he quietly said to himself. He slowly got up from bed and crept out his door down his stairs, as he approached the sound it became clearer to him and it went from just a noise to a growl. Slowly making it down the stairs the little boy looks around the corner and to perceive his sight is an unordinary white fox, The fox see’s the little boy and inches towards him. The little boy isn’t afraid as the white fox comes closer, but the closer the fox gets the redder his eyes get the boy notices his bright glowing eyes “That’s a little peculiar...I’ve never seen a foxes eyes glow with such a bright red” the boy thinks to himself. Suddenly the backdoor is slammed open by wind, startling the fox and making the boy jump with fright. The fox scurries off past the boy and behind the couch and the boy whispers “It’s okay, don’t be afraid it’s only the wind” sudden whispers comes from the fox’s direction “7 steps away Jacob...” the boy is confused and assumes he is just hearing things when suddenly a creak of the door comes from up the stairs. The boy turns around and quietly walks up the stairs slowly, as he reaches the top of the stairs he sees the bathroom door is open just enough for someone or something to go inside “Hello...?” the boy quietly says as he slowly inches towards the door. He makes it to the bathroom door and opens it slowly, as the door widens he begins to see something white moving in the corner “It’s you!” the boy says quietly with shock, the fox turns around with blood dripping from his mouth and a bright deadly red glare. The boy notices a little girl behind the fox laid on the floor, the fox runs past him and vanishes again, the boy examines the girl once more “Annie! No, no no!” on the floor ly’s his sister bleeding out her neck the boy backs away slowly and starts to head for his mom and dad’s room when he is greeted by the same fox, with a growl and blood dripping from his mouth he leaps forward at the boy and knocking him over and he bites the boys arm deeply. The boy wakes up with a loud yell heavily panting and looking around the room, “w... Was it all a dream? he says to himself as his mom bursts into the room with concern “What’s wrong?! Are you ok honey??” he looks at her, with a pause he lies and says “Yeah mom, just another spider that’s all” Annie comes skipping happily down the hall “Mom, Dad’s leaving to the store can i go with?” Annie says with a gleeful expression on her face “If you are finished with breakfast then you can go” Annie squeaks with excitement and skips down the hall to grab her shoes. After changing and heading downstairs his mom yells from upstairs “If you haven’t eaten, don’t worry about it we have to go!!” Jacob checks the time and day and says to himself “Oh church, well at least I get to skip that...” looking over at a plate of burnt toast, half cooked eggs and bit off sausage. After grabbing his bag, they soon arrive at church late by 5 minutes but they make it in towards the pews and his mom quietly says “go find a seat by the kids, Today is bible study so you’ll be with them for a little bit” he nods and quietly moves towards to pew in the middle, he sits down by a girl. Looking over at her for a minute he sees blonde hair, brown eyes, black like church dress and smooth like silk shoes, his attention is pulled towards the preacher as the preacher hollers “HALLELUJAH, PRAISE THE LORD” the girl beside him places a red covered book beside him, he looks beside him and sees a red book with black outline, looking at the title “Annie’s Fate” he points his attention towards the preacher as he thinks “That book looks familiar.. I’ve seen it somewhere, maybe I’m just being a bit paranoid”. The preacher dismisses everyone, Jacob gets up and follows the youth outside to the park to play for a bit as he reaches a bench off alone in the right side of the park and goes over and sits down pulling out his black covered book and he reaches in his bag pulling out a pencil as well, He begins to draw different animals and out of nowhere he is spooked by the girl with the red book “You’re not a bad drawer, do you draw often?” She sits next to him and he speaks with a startled tone “I-I draw here and there, I mostly draw horror figures and scary creatures” she sets the red book in her bag and says “I’m Mary, I don’t live too far from the church. It’s weird I haven't seen you here before, are you new?” he is a little hesitant to answer, he begins to notice something glowing in her bag “What’s that?” pointing at her bag. She looks at her bag and immediately closes her bag “I-it’s nothing, just ya know...my phone, yeah I think it’s my dad I have to take the call but here take this” She hands him the red book and he looks at it for a second, and as he looks up the mysterious girl is gone. The white fox appears again in the distance...

He opens the book to a page that says “What you see isn’t always there, look closer…” flipping through the pages he says “It’s blank! There all blank” he exclaimed to himself, he closes the book and sets it down making it accidentally tipping over the edge hitting the floor. He reaches to pick the book up and notices black ink coming from the book, a voice echoes quietly through the room “The book.” almost like whispers they start to get louder and louder until he picks the book up and opens it to see the pages filled with words and pictures, He reads the book and it says “In the dark she’ll appear, she is everywhere and nowhere at the same time she is a fox like creature capable of killing PhAnToM DeMoNs” the ink seems to be smeared on the rest of the page covering everything but one section and it reads “If you’ve been marked by this creature then you’ve been chosen to enter a realm of phantom demons in order to save those you love, these demons are capable of shapeshifting to anything and manipulate your emotions until they can kill you” the book ends there with ink smeared on the rest of those pages, He closes the book and sets it beside him thinking “This can’t be real can it..?” He says to himself “If this is real than I’ll have to save the universe...No no no it’s not this is just a book, Yeah that’s all.” ]]> 2021-08-24 18:51:47 UTC https://padlet.com/TheMaskedShadowTTV/6dy1dbp6wuoez7ce/wish/1694237271 TheMaskedShadowTTV https://padlet.com/TheMaskedShadowTTV/6dy1dbp6wuoez7ce/wish/1702122148 His mom yells “Jacob! Come down and eat your dinner!” he stretches and exhales softly and speaks to himself “Maybe some food will take my mind off of it” he gets up off his bed and heads out the door down his stairs and into the kitchen, He looks over into the living room as he goes to get his food and he sees His sister is in the living room playing with her dolls, His dad watching tv, and something dark and tall behind the curtains. He rubs his eyes and looks again to see nothing, he sits at the kitchen table and eats thinking “my mind is just playing tricks on me…right?” after eating his dad says with a calm but stern tone “Tomorrow we’ll be having the preacher and his daughter over for dinner so behave yourself” Jacob nods as he puts his plate into the sink, He heads upstairs into his room and his sister follows right along as she heads to get ready for bed. Soon everyone is sound asleep with the lights out and doors closed, loud whispers echo through Jacobs room they get louder and louder until he wakes up, with a small gasp of air and breathing heavily Jacob looks around the room to see nothing when suddenly his closet door creaks open slowly, Jacob turns his attention to the closet door in fear and when he looks in his closet door a dark shadowy bent figure with white eyes slowly emerges from his closet and proceeds to inch towards his bed, Jacob is frozen in fear starring at the figure as it inches closer making a terrifying sound “VaNiShhs…JaCoB” his tone is deeper than before, Jacob gathers up his courage as the figure gets closer and he yells “MOM, DAD!!” the figure fades away and the hallway lights turn on, his parents burst into his room with a worried and concerned look on there face and say “What’s wrong?!” they exclaimed at the same time, Jacob speaks and says with a shaky and fearful tone “T-there was someone in my closet” his dad walks to the closet, slowly reaching his hand towards the clothing he finally moves the hung up clothing around to see nothing and see says with a sigh “Son there’s nothing in your closet, your mind was probably playing tricks on you its just jackets, shirts, and more clothes in here” his mom says “Go back to sleep honey, we’ll leave the hall light on just in case” Jacob sighs in relief and says “No no, It’s fine you don’t have to. I can go to sleep without it” his mom nods and says “Okay try and get some rest” as they both walk out the room closing his door and turning the lights off, He lays back pulling the cover over his head and rolls over falling closing his eyes slowly he thinks to him self before he falls asleep “I didn’t just see things…there was someone, Something there in my room” He falls asleep with the book laid on the table dripping dark black sludge like liquid, his closet door glows red and the glow fades away”
