Playstation.
Sony's product the Playstation sells Consoles, Headsets, Games, Controllers and Accessories.
The Playstation's price is quite expensive for the Console. Other items such as games and Headsets come much cheaper.
Playstation's are sold at most Electronic and Gaming stores.
Sony promotes the Playstation by T.V, Magazine and Websites. There is always a lot of advertising of the Playstation when a new console or popular game comes out.

The product I have chosen is the bike brand Merida.

Product- They sell all kinds of bikes, road bikes, mountain bikes and cross bikes.

Price- They use competition based pricing beacuse they set a price around the same price as a competiter and the bike they are selling however is a bit better. I think that when they have half price sales they mark down a really good bike at say $800 which is then $400 and people might buy what they think is a good bike which is another brand when they can get a way better bike worth double that amount at the same amount as that not so good bike.

Place- They sell these bikes at a place called bike barn. Bike Barn stores are located on main roads in cities as they have big signs out the front showing that they are there and people might like to stop when going past in there car and they also know whats in the shop just from looking at the sign at the front.

Promotion- Bike barn which sells the Merida bikes advertises it over the radio when they have half price sales. Bike Barns main promotion is when they sell the Merida Bikes half price this attracts attention from people and they go in and buy the product.

Nokia do a mixture of competition based and cost+ because they arnt big compete tutors but they still compete against other brands.

Place-Nokias are sold in almost all mobile phone stores and that means that they will sell more products because it's making there product more available to consumers.

Promotion-Nokia mainly do adds through banners and posters as they don't have many TV ads. When a store like 2degrees are promoting what they have in store they promote Nokia by saying what they have in stock that is Nokia.

Starbucks have created an image, an that image being when you go there it will just be the same any where else on earth. They sell a range of different thing such as coffee, muffins, cake and sandwiches. The most obvious product is coffee which is the best in my opinion. They have a wide range of coffees which is better then is competitors. Starbucks believe that there product is top of the line so they charge a high price for there product. Everywhere walk you can find a Starbucks. When you walk into the Riccarton mall when you look left you find a Starbucks so you say I will get on instead of walking 500m to get it. Starbucks rely on word of mouth for they promotion because when Starbucks originated TV was starting to become popular so unlike MacDonald’s they rely on TV to prominent they product. They use a premium pricing technique.
