Nancy C. diBenedetto is a multimedia installation photographer whose background emulates the artwork she creates. As an artist and currently in the US Navy Reserve, she was selected to train other military and civilian photographers across the world in basic photojournalism, multimedia, and documentary techniques. Her multimedia photos documenting the peaceful transfer of power during the 2017 presidential inauguration have been published worldwide through military and commercial channels.

Her most recent work (pictured below) highlights the emotional intersubjectivity between mother and daughter. The multimedia installation allows the viewer to create a narrative with a phenomenological perspective that embodies an experience of intimacy.

J. Kat Woronowicz Johnson, Vista; Pink Flamingos

Born in Warsaw, Poland, Kat and her parents immigrated to the United States. She moved from Chicago, to Tennessee, and then to Flagstaff, and finally, in Vista back in 2004. She started her career as a photojournalist and chief photographer for Sedona Red Rock News, then went freelance when she moved to Vista, shooting assignments for local newspapers. Over more than a decade, as the newspaper budget dried up, she moved to doing more corporate and commercial photography and specializes in on location environmental portraits.

"Pink Flamingos" was taken in Kat's front yard this past spring when all the rain sprouted lush, green vegetation in the area. During her downtime, Kat likes to pull out her big cameras, as well as her iPhone, and photograph things in her daily life. This afternoon the light was hitting the flamingos nicely, so she got down at a low angle and made them come to life.
