So he went to Fisk University, in Nashville, which was the best black school in the country. He learned from them how to win white people over. He got into Harvard to earn a post-graduate degree he did so well he spoke at his graduation. He proved that he was equal to white people (in his head). In theory this would eliminate segregation but instead it had the adverse effect and it made people think that black people now had nothing to complain about and were now could be equal to whites.
