         <description><![CDATA[<p><strong>NCDHHS (Children with Disabilities)</strong></p><p><br/></p><p>This website offers 7 main resources, but they also have a section for more information such as: the different criteria and some FAQs. They offer services for the families, the kids, and teachers. They also provide information on disability rights and intervention programs. That program specifically helps kides ages birth- 3 years old. Another service they offer is from the North Carolina department  of health and human services. The department provides support on how individuals with disabilities can live own there own.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p><strong>NCDHHS </strong></p><p><strong>NC Emergency Solutions Grant</strong></p><p><br></p><p>The grant office funds local government entities and non-profit organizations. North Carolina receives an annual award from the department of housing and urban development. </p><p>Services the grant offers are street outreach, emergency shelter, homelessness prevention, and rapid rehousing. </p><p><br></p><p>On the NCDHHS website they have a few people listed on there for you to get in contact with. It lists their name, number, and email. </p><p>You can also call 211 or visit NC211.</p>]]></description>

They provide information on other ways you can get involved in the community. Friendsgiving Celebration was started by Roots with Purpose. Their goal is to help homeless people by providing them with hot meals. This organization is 100% run by volunteers and a non-profit organization. </p><p><br></p>]]></description>

You can join this event as a team or do it solo. This year the beneficiary is Helping Transitions. They are an organization striving to help people deal with addiction.
