Wearing white with a bat and a ball,
Under the sun they all looked on.
Matches went on for days,
for entertainment they would say.
Chants and 'slangs' would come about,
unity of the regions people from all about.
Be it Jamaica, St. Lucia or Trinidad,
to be a part of the event 'we just glad'.
Hours of gritty battles and wicket taking,
no external pressure, it's the beauty of test cricket.
Sadly it's on a decline,
being left behind.
CPL, ICC and Twenty20 has taken over,
a modern form that keeps us sober.
Fours and sixes all the way,
Solely for that one day.
