Users are able to speak in the dialect of their choice, and from a set of selected phrases, communicate with each other. Translated subtitles are shown in the chatroom environment, showing what a user has said. With the translated subtitles, each user will be able to see and understand what another says in the language of the user's own.]]> 2021-09-28 00:14:41 UTC https://padlet.com/Deep_Contractor/6dc9c30nq4bee42/wish/1772718488 Deep_Contractor https://padlet.com/Deep_Contractor/6dc9c30nq4bee42/wish/1772718489 2021-09-28 00:14:41 UTC https://padlet.com/Deep_Contractor/6dc9c30nq4bee42/wish/1772718489 Deep_Contractor https://padlet.com/Deep_Contractor/6dc9c30nq4bee42/wish/1772718490 2021-09-28 00:14:41 UTC https://padlet.com/Deep_Contractor/6dc9c30nq4bee42/wish/1772718490 Deep_Contractor https://padlet.com/Deep_Contractor/6dc9c30nq4bee42/wish/1772718491 2021-09-28 00:14:41 UTC https://padlet.com/Deep_Contractor/6dc9c30nq4bee42/wish/1772718491 Deep_Contractor https://padlet.com/Deep_Contractor/6dc9c30nq4bee42/wish/1772718492 2021-09-28 00:14:41 UTC https://padlet.com/Deep_Contractor/6dc9c30nq4bee42/wish/1772718492 Deep_Contractor https://padlet.com/Deep_Contractor/6dc9c30nq4bee42/wish/1772718493 2021-09-28 00:14:41 UTC https://padlet.com/Deep_Contractor/6dc9c30nq4bee42/wish/1772718493 Deep_Contractor https://padlet.com/Deep_Contractor/6dc9c30nq4bee42/wish/1772718494 My name is Michael Stauffer. It processes the selection values of the player to how the player will be loaded into the scene and what scene he or she will be loaded into. Upon load of the selected scene, the username and language values settings are applied to the player avatar prefab. The module facilitates the networking and synchronization of players across the Photon PUN engine. This module handles controller actions, including player movements in the scene as well as user interactions with in-scene items. The module will also take in any microphone input from a user and coordinate its audio to be heard by other users.]]> 2021-09-28 00:14:41 UTC https://padlet.com/Deep_Contractor/6dc9c30nq4bee42/wish/1772718498 Deep_Contractor https://padlet.com/Deep_Contractor/6dc9c30nq4bee42/wish/1772718499 The player's speech was initially intended to be determined by extrapolating the text from player's speech through the Speech-To-Text API of Google Cloud services. Due to technical difficulties, however, the player's communicable text had to be simplified to a set list of phrases. The language setting selected for the player will determine which language vocabulary set of phrases the player will be using and presumably also speaking in. Whenever the player hits a button on their controller a certain number of times, a specific phrase from the language vocabulary set will be sent to be translated and then transmitted as subtitles to the other player. While the player's speech is negligible for affecting the subtitles, the user can still communicate a basic conversation with the basic set of phrases in their own language.]]> 2021-09-28 00:14:41 UTC https://padlet.com/Deep_Contractor/6dc9c30nq4bee42/wish/1772718499 Deep_Contractor https://padlet.com/Deep_Contractor/6dc9c30nq4bee42/wish/1772718500 The Translation API is a connection to Google Cloud services for translating a phrase from one language to another. The player's "NetworkPlayer" script is responsible for taking in the selected player phrase from the speech and text module and passing the phrase through the Translation API. With the Translation API, the selected player phrase will be translated into every language supported by the application, besides the player's own. The translated phrases will then be applied to the specific language subtitles of the player, where only the subtitles of the other player's language will be visible to them. The chosen phrase from the player's vocabulary set will also be displayed to the speaker in their won personal subtitles, invisible to the other player, in order to reiterate what the speaker has said. The phrases said and displayed on the subtitles will remain on the subtitles UI until the player makes a new phrase selection.]]> 2021-09-28 00:14:41 UTC https://padlet.com/Deep_Contractor/6dc9c30nq4bee42/wish/1772718500 Deep_Contractor https://padlet.com/Deep_Contractor/6dc9c30nq4bee42/wish/1772718501 My name is Deep Contractor.
