But how is Shrove Tuesday (pancake day) celebrated?
Shrove tuesday can be celebrated differently. But one of the more commonly is "pancake-racing". That's a race where you run while flipping pancakes in a frying pan. A lot of pancakes has been eaten on Shrove Tuesday. On average, people in the UK eat two pancakes each on Pancake Day. That means that 117 million pancakes are eaten on the day.
