Treaty of Paris (1763)

After the French and Indian war the British claimed all land east of the Mississippi river this caused four major issues,
1.) Debt from the cost of war
2.) Too much land to control
3.) The native Americans
4.) The navigational laws
The British than put into place 5 solutions that the colonists either boycotted or just didn't listen or care.

Battle of Bunker Hill (June 1775)

Bunker Hill was an interesting Battle as it is a British Victory only because the colonists didn't have enough Ammunition to continue to fight. This is also where the colonists realized that they had the means to fight but not the supplies.

Boston Massacre (March 5, 1770)

Valley Forge (PA)

Valley Forge was the area George Washington picked for the continental army to stage during the Winter.
- 10,000 soldiers started at Valley Forge
- 2,000 died at Valley Forge
- While the soldiers were suffering through the hard winter, French General Lafayette and Von Stouban, tried to train them.

Boston Tea Party (December 16, 1773)

The Boston Tea Party was an act of defiance by the Sons of Liberty. On that early morning, the group of men boarded a cargo ship full of tea. They dumped 15,000 lbs. of tea in total into the Boston Harbor.

Battle of Yorktown

October. 17, 1781, was the last major battle of the American Revolution...The battle of Yorktown. General Cornwallis surrendered this battle and the colonists won with great help from the french navy. Although, General Cornwallis did not surrender correctly and ended up having his second in command surrender for him, George Washington was not happy.
