This stands out to me because I've felt lonely before but I can't imagine experiencing the pain Wiesel felt and feeling like the world forgot you, that no one cares about your suffering. It would make me feel worthless, desperation, and like I was falling into an abyss.

This stands out to me because Wiesel was thankful for rage, which when I see the word rage I think of anger but to be thankful for it seems kind of strange to me.

That struck me because its 100% true about the world and sad to think about. Everyone in the world has at some point just watched and not stepped in to help. They just let they person/people suffer when they need help.
