It is easy to teach students about a topic and questions can be asked to assess students learning throughout. I also some times show the students a YouTube video and afterwards ask them some questions based on it. Apart from these two methods I have not delved deeper into other digital Tools.

Each presentation has content on the topic being covered and activities to investigate the topic at hand. I have used some videos to base follow up questioning on. I haven't used many other forms of ICT to assess learning

I use it to deliver the content of my lesson and it is also used for formative assessment in the forms of questioning and instructions on using our Exit Tickets.
- I have also used Google Docs in one of the schools I was in.

PowerPoint would be the most common digital tool that I have used while teaching a class. I feel that PowerPoint almost takes away the need for a whiteboard in the classroom as all teaching content, pictures, videos, learning outcomes etc can be prepared before the class. This most certianly improves the speed of learning and the visual aspect keeps students more engaged in the lesson. YouTube is also a very powerful resource as one short video could explain something better to a class, than 10 minutes of verbal explanation.

This reduces the need for waste paper in the form of worksheets and also means that the students are less likely to lose the work as it is written into their copy.
I have used schoology and edmodo in my placement schools in order to give students their notes and homework.
