They are mostly nocturnal and and stay in swamps, wallows and rivers in South Africa. Pygmy hippos are about 30-39 inches tall and weigh about 350-600 pounds. They are herbivores and eat leaves,ferns, fruits and roots. These hippos are endangered and we are trying to protect them by making them illegal to hunt and the government is trying to make an awareness about them.</div>]]></description>
