Whereas, right next to him is a wooden ladder which goes straight up the huge wall behind him.  He doesn't know what is behind that wall, maybe its better than what he is suffering now which is obviously a temporary happiness or, its worst than his current situation. No one knows.

The thing is in this modern world which is full of opportunities, people are not only able to recognize them but sometimes also destroy them with their own hands. The great Scientist Albert Einstein said, " We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when created them." So sometimes taking risk is necessary, because the only thing certain in life is Change. No matter whatever you do in life you will fail again and again, which does not mean you will cover yourself in self pity. Learn the lesson, loosen up and back to the routine.
 
The message is a little bit struggle for a long term joy is always better than a short term happiness.
