CONCLUSIONS:

the second jungle book had a more worldwide reach, we can see this how most of the box office (62.3%) for the 2016 film is generated from countries outside US. in comparison, the 1967 film had 68.9% of their revenue from USA.

The Jungle Book 1967 had a theatrical run and then was later released on VHS.
The Jungle Book 2016 also had a theatrical run and was released on DVD and Blu-ray. It can also be streamed online on websites such as Youtube, Google Play Movies & TV and amazon prime.
The Jungle Book 2016 used a lot of motion capture technology on their actors. This means that the actors actions were recorded and then cgi was later used to make them look like animals.

The film was released in the Dolby vision in the Dolby cinema in the US as a 3D format. The Jungle book held the world premiere at the El Capitan cinema on 4th April 2016, being released in 15 countries.

A week ahead of the US release, the film was earlier released in Argentina, Australia, Russia, Malaysia and India on 8th April 2016. India release date for 8th April was strategic as it was the Indian new year within the same week.

The jungle book 2016 was released on Blu- Ray and DVD on 23rd August 2016.
