         <description><![CDATA[<p>It’s official—<strong>George Washington is our first President!</strong> 🎉 He took the <strong>oath of office</strong> in New York City, placing his hand on the Bible and solemnly swearing to <strong>“preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States”</strong> (U.S. Constitution, Article II, Section 1). The crowd cheered as he humbly accepted the role, saying, <strong>“I walk on untrodden ground”</strong> (Letter to Catherine Macaulay Graham, 1790). He never <em>wanted</em> to be President, but he knew the country needed a strong, steady leader. Unlike kings who rule for life, Washington’s election shows that power now belongs to <strong>the people</strong>.          <description><![CDATA[<p>Washington just signed the <strong>Judiciary Act</strong>, making sure our country has a <strong>fair and functioning legal system</strong>. This law creates <strong>“one Supreme Court, and such inferior courts as Congress may from time to time ordain and establish”</strong> (Judiciary Act of 1789). Without courts, who would settle disputes between states? Who would ensure laws are followed? Washington also appointed <strong>John Jay as the first Chief Justice</strong>, someone who will uphold justice and fairness. This is what <strong>real leadership</strong> looks like—making sure we have the laws and institutions to keep order. Washington knows that a strong government is important, but so is protecting <strong>the people’s freedoms</strong>. The First Amendment alone guarantees <strong>“Congress shall make no law… abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press”</strong> (Bill of Rights, 1791). Now, we have <strong>clear protections</strong> for speech, religion, and fair trials. Some feared that the Constitution gave the federal government too much power, but this ensures <strong>tyranny can’t take hold</strong>. Many want us to help France since they supported us in the Revolution, but Washington warns that we must <strong>“pursue a conduct friendly and impartial toward the belligerent powers”</strong> (Proclamation of Neutrality, 1793). We’re <strong>too young</strong> to get dragged into a war that isn’t ours! France is in chaos, and Britain is still powerful—either side could turn on us.          <description><![CDATA[<p>Washington just did something NO other President has done—he <strong>personally led troops</strong> to stop the <strong>Whiskey Rebellion</strong>! Farmers in Pennsylvania are furious about a tax on whiskey and have started violent protests. Washington sent a clear message: <strong>“The laws of the United States must be executed”</strong> (Proclamation on the Whiskey Rebellion, 1794). Instead of letting rebellion spread, he gathered a militia of 13,000 men and rode <strong>at the front of the army himself</strong>! Imagine a President actually leading troops like a general—it’s unheard of. The rebellion collapsed immediately, proving that <strong>our government is strong and won’t tolerate lawlessness</strong>. Britain has been <strong>seizing American ships</strong> and refusing to leave forts in the west, and many feared another conflict. Instead of war, Washington pushed for <strong>diplomacy</strong>, and the treaty ensures that Britain will <strong>withdraw from U.S. territory</strong> and improve trade relations (Jay’s Treaty, 1794). Not everyone is happy—some wanted a tougher stance—but Washington knew that war would <strong>cripple our economy and destroy our progress</strong>. He always thinks <strong>long-term</strong>. He also <strong>urged future leaders to avoid permanent alliances</strong>, warning that too much foreign involvement could destroy us. Instead of <strong>clinging to power</strong>, he’s <strong>choosing to step down</strong>—something unheard of for a leader! First, he incorporated the Marine Band into presidential festivities. A music aficionado himself, Jefferson asked the company to play the July 4th celebration at the President’s House in 1801. The band would go on to play New Years’ Day and Fourth of July receptions throughout his administration. This quote was removed from the Declaration of Independence for some reasons, but he still somehow wanted to stop slavery. I was expecting a huge party yet it was mostly simple. Lot's of people accused that Thomas Jefferson was not worth voting and that he did not deserve his position because he is someone you cannot put your trust into, which apparently THE Alexander Hamilton said. But I think that's not true, since he is the author of the Declaration of Independence, which helped us be free Americans! Later on, Thomas Jefferson realized the problem and declared a speech, "Every difference of opinion is not a difference of principle. We have called by different names, brethren of the same principles. We are all Republicans. We are all Federalists”. I hope that he'll do well... #AMERICA</p>]]></description>

This started&nbsp;the economic downfall of the United States, and showed he needed to be right even if it was so obviously wrong.&nbsp;</p></li></ol><ol start="3"><li><p>Paying off the national debt. Thomas Jefferson exchanged letters with his old friends John and Abigail Adams after over a decade of bitter estrangement, But most of his time he would only want to spend time with his daughter Pasty and her twelve children. Thomas Jefferson died of the age 83 July 4, 1826 the 50th Anniversary of the Independence, Jefferson was buried at Monticello. Jefferson is and will always be remembered as one of the most revered and most controversial Founding Father, making him as contradictory in death as he was in life to the Best Friend, Father, Son, President Ever RIP Thomas Jefferson U will always be the Best President Died Or Alive </strong></p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Guys, its New Years with 1st of January 1808!! Thomas Jefferson just re-enforced an act about prohibiting the slave trade, meaning we won't be able to import and export slaves anymore. There are lot's of ups and downs to this since slaves have helped us with agriculture, business, etc. Now that slaves are no longer getting sent here, we won't be able to get more money but I'm not really concerned about this situation since I'm not really that big on slavery, therefore I own none. Actually, Thomas Jefferson earlier sad this, "I congratulate you, fellow-citizens, on the approach of the period at which you may interpose your authority constitutionally, to withdraw the citizens of the United States from all further participation in those violations of human rights which have been so long continued on the unoffending inhabitants of Africa, and which the morality, the reputation, and the best interests of our country, have long been eager to proscribe". Honestly, Thomas Jefferson definitely deserved his position because he did so much for our nation, he increased our nation's size and discovered a whole ocean and prohibited slave trade. I wish he didn't have to go but it can't be like this. I am happy that he is happy. </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>As i expected, the expansion westward was bad for the native Indians. As we move westward we kick these people out of there homes on land that they claimed way before we were hear. This is a quote from Jackson "It gives me pleasure to announce to Congress that the benevolent policy of the Government, steadily pursued for nearly thirty years, in relation to the removal of the Indians beyond the white settlements is approaching to a happy consummation". This makes me think that he has no empathy for the people that came before us. To him the Indians are not people in his way to achieve a big dream that hurts others. #Expected #sorryIndians </p>]]></description>
