As far as I can tell, endless inventory is the amount that you, or the public in general, buys into a song or artist. Fans are not what make artists who they are. Musicians have their own musical style before anyone else may know about it.  Artists relying on their fans' approval is like a 30-year-old getting their mothers' approval for a haircut. It is not their fans' music. It is the musician's. Bo Burnham says in Make Happy “You don't want that desperate, sort of cloying thing from an entertainer. "My fans, oh, they stick with me through everything, through thick and thin." Do not stick with me through thick. If I stop entertaining you, throw me to the curb. You wouldn't stick with your mechanic if he stopped fixing your car. I'm in a service industry. I'm just overpaid, okay?” Fans shouldn’t solely rely on any singular artists just as musicians shouldn’t strive for their fans’ approval. If you don’t like a band’s music anymore, don’t listen to them.
