         <description><![CDATA[<div>Andrew Johnson was one of the people who voted for this amendment .He was born on December 29th 1808 in Raleigh,North Carolina..He was the 17th president but was impeached or kicked out .As a one young boy he had much interest in politics and won a spot in the Tennessee state legislature .As a Democrat ,he was the first elected into the US Congress, then elected governor of Tennessee and soon ran for president.Joseph P.Bradley also voted to pass this amendment.He was born on March 4th 1813 and Berne, New York passed on January 22nd, 1892 in Washington D.C .As a farmer boy who wanted to learn and manage to attend Rutgers College .In 1870,the president elected him to be part of the Supreme Court.He was also part of the Electoral commission with resolve the dispute as that Presidential election.</div>]]></description>

The Black Codes were made so that the African Americans had somewhat of Liberty, but also kept them in their limits. Although they weren't really free because they went aloud to do much stuff.The black codes were just to keep them from becoming free.</div>]]></description>

For example, Southern states used the black codes that we're made. Which were laws to limit the labor and social rights of former slaves.
