Easter Island was a place that some people didn't even know about because there weren't any type land or islands next to it so it made things more complicated to find. What people found were giant stone faces. They were called Moais sculptures. It was a mysterious place with unusual sculptures. In Easter Island these are the biggest in the world they stand at 10 meters tall. They sometimes thought that the faces that were sculpted, were the faces of the past.
